The korg krome is the best. When u have the best composer in the world Yianni playing 9 korg kromes in front of the Pyramids in Cairo you know you have bought a good keyboard
Noel Robertson: in combi mode you need to set your midi channel to be the same. Go to combi mode page and then choose P3 timbre param which you can find midi channel.
your comment saved my sorry beginner's mind...when going to initiate combi, each additional timbre automatically gets assigned a separate midi channel, rather than the 1G needed to hear the sound
yes, just one of my wishes... but KORG has the most useless people hired to explain. The guy for example says "timber" (wood) when it should be timbre. That is actually a french word.
I own the krome 73 key. It is a complex beast and there are no tutorials for making your own sounds or combis. I've succeeded in making my own combi. However, I want the asdr and filter to affect only the lead sound, not all sounds. I suspect it is a midi channel issue. More experimenting then.
I have a very big challenge and I need your help...how do I control the levels of the voices I use in the COMBI mode...because all I'm able to do is combine different voices in that mode but I'm not able to control them individually
Okay I figured it out. There was a guy that made a video on how to layer sounds. It was very hard to follow because he was speaking another language. But nevertheless I got it. So I'm assuming that you were just like me and couldn't figure out how to get the sounds to sound simultaneously. What you need to do it is go to Combi mode choose the sounds you want. For example German Dark Grand on lane one. The second lane Intimate strings. You probably notice that they don't sound Simultaneously. There is a button right below the spin wheel that says Page. Press it. When you get to that page there is a word that says Para timbre press it. From there you will see your sounds German Dark Grand, and Intimate Strings. Now the reason why they are not sounding simultaneously is because the sounds are on different channels. Turn both patches to 01G. They then should sound at the same time. I haven't learned how to split yet. But I'm going to figure it out. I hope this helps.
Okay How to split? Just figured it out!! Okay so it's pretty much the same as layering but instead of choosing Timbre Para you want to choose Zone then you can choose which zone you want your bass to be at or whatever sound you want to use as your lower. Awesome!! Oh and if you want to save it for live performances make sure you have a Micro SD card. Go back to the first page, hit the arrow on the upper right hand corner and press Write Combination. Hope this helps!!
Ok major question here. In the combi section there are the "user" selections where you can completely creat your own combi's. I was starting to mess with it the other day but when i add the different timbers they don't play. As in they're selected on screen and lighting up but no sound will come out. How do i make them work?!
I think I have the same problem! How did you fix it (9 years ago)? Sometimes I don’t hear anything when I add a sound to a existing combi. There is no green bar lighting up either. It’s like the volume is down completely for that sounds.
4 arrangers, 2 workstation Korg & Rolands i wiRolands FA08 Ive been just using sounds my 1 thru 8 have been with Arranger Keyboards Korg, Yamaha keyboard. how both workstation Ive been watching everything on the korg krome73 and also learning on the Rolands FA08. The korg i like better over Roland, Korg is alot easier to opperate. this is 2nd time round.
Do you know if people are able to have seperate synths per hand region? As in lower half is able to have keys and the upper half can hve...trumpet or something?
It happens when many sounds are layered, as there are multiple notes being played simultaneously from different timbres. In addition, each sound is worth 2 notes, as there are 2 oscillators on that note, so in fact most programs only have 60 polyphony.
Have a Krome and a Kross myself. Programming Kross for live is easy and faster. Use my Krome as the main keyboard, and Kross my second, like mi microstation, my microkorg xl+ or my roland jd-xi. Depends on what we are playing on stage
It's complicated, but very rewarding when you understand it and becomes automatic.
The korg krome is the best. When u have the best composer in the world Yianni playing 9 korg kromes in front of the Pyramids in Cairo you know you have bought a good keyboard
This Workstation Is Powerful !
I love my Korg Krome 88. It's my first legitimate keyboard.
this one made my head spin................
Noel Robertson: in combi mode you need to set your midi channel to be the same. Go to combi mode page and then choose P3 timbre param which you can find midi channel.
Thanks.....The narrator speaks as though this step is not needed.....You'd think this would be by default.
your comment saved my sorry beginner's mind...when going to initiate combi, each additional timbre automatically gets assigned a separate midi channel, rather than the 1G needed to hear the sound
thanks Korg, awesome mixer effects and combinations
Wish I could find and change the split point on the Bass & Piano combi - which is a very practical one for working solo or small group keyboardists.

Beautiful
Can any one tell me how take the sustain from left for bass

KingdomMinded 87 how do I make my own combi?
Yo did you figure it out if not respond and I'll give you a walk through
@@charlesmathews1633 give me the walktrough please
Hi, can I split the Keyboard in three zones
?
Rppr mode..
You can split into as many as 16 zones. I’m not sure how often anyone would need 16, but I have 4 fairly often on my 88
@@spidergoalie33 I just got a krome ex a couple of months ago, and I'm just scratching the surface. Can't wait to get the hang of rppr
Anyone experiencing polyphony issues? It cuts out if I play more than 6 notes

When you're that guy, in the comments, pointing out that he did not pronounce timbre correctly once.
Display dark mode
This thing is super user-friendly compared to my Fantom X8...at least it as a touch screen! lol
Wife got me an 88 for Xmas,....oh the complexity.....
Love my piano but it's retarded how they change how the instruments sound in the sequencer
very complicated keyboard.. i can't even get the suitable rhythms or styles like regge pop rock ..... !! only sounds with their effects 😵😵😩
THE SPEAKER THEY USE HAS A GOOD VOICE BUT HE CANNOT EXPLAIN HOW TO OPEN AN EGG!
Timbre is pronounced Tam-Bruh !!
SE EU TIVESSE DINHEIRO...
It's pronounced "tambre", it rhymes with Amber
I have a Krome, save your money...buy a kross for easier splits and layers, or buy a yamaha mofx8
Have a Krome and a Kross myself. Programming Kross for live is easy and faster. Use my Krome as the main keyboard, and Kross my second, like mi microstation, my microkorg xl+ or my roland jd-xi. Depends on what we are playing on stage
i think moxf is better in both navigation and programming rather than krome
F....... It's EASIER to program a CISCO router .... !
Properly anal stuff. This keyboard is 90% headace and 10% sound generator.
