Phil’s “Time” is one of the best riffs ever! These two guys have been essential to my Christian music listening since my young teens. This does my heart so much good to see them smiling and sounding and playing GREAT! Words cannot contain my gratitude for the music of Phil Keaggy, Matthew Ward, 2nd Chapter of Acts, and everyone who ever worked with them! This is real JESUS Music. ❤
Without a doubt. His prayer song, To The King Alone is a Classic. Also his version of It's Alright, and Everything Else 👍😁 Seeing The Second Chapter of Acts in the Fox Theater in Hotlanta, about 1982ish was the best ever.
Tears of joy! This really takes me back to my early days in the faith - especially the Time song. Thanks for uploading. May these two men of God continue to be used to fulfill their calling from God - exalting Jesus.
oh my goodness... PLEASE you guys... go on tour together! Your music was part of my transition from secular music to gospel in the early 80s. I saw Phil in Portland, OR back in the day... but both of you together would be a dream. Do it for this Grandma.
WOW two of the biggest names in Christian music from the 1970s! Not many people know it, but Phil Keaggy was once proclaimed the world's best guitarist, and, truthfully, he is the inventor of the synthesizer! What rock band can do without one now?
Gosh I love this...., been hanging from afar with these amazing brothers since the early 70's. (Freeville ..., Phil) 2nd Chapter and you Matthew for such a LONG time. Thoroughly blessed by seeing you guys having fun and blessing God and His peeps! :-)
It's fun to see old friends messing around singing together, but at the same time presenting a message for the Lord. The range that Matthew has to this day is fantastic, and of course Phil Keaggy the virtuoso on guitar, nothing but a smile on my face the whole time.
@Lothar Lustig Not sure what this has to do with this duet! We should talk sometime ;) (Your "proof" is missing a key element: what's your mathematical formula for the odds of over 3000 prophecies all being correct? Not sure I (pretty smart at math and stats) can come up with that.) In fact, our best current understanding, frustrating to be sure, is that there can be no mathematical formula, and thus no valid metric, for evaluating anything involving spiritual outcomes.... because the subject of the action (ie people) have a say in the outcome. We get to choose our actions. If that were not true, we'd all have perfect children, etc ;) ... this is known as the Complex domain in something called the Cynefin framework. Please just DM me directly.
Please make a record together! I want to hear new songs like "It's alright" and "Til the Walls fall down" - and please let Abraham Laboriel play with you again!
Okay, I have to admit, this was on my list of misheard lyrics. I went for years thinking the chorus was "Too Late For A Ball Of Cheese". LOL But, "It's Too Late For Apologies" does make more sense. No need to stop and entertain people with a cheese ball if it's too late. hahahaha :)

Matthew Ward is one of the greatest vocalists much of the world has never known.
Without a doubt. His prayer song, To The King Alone is a Classic.

yep
Matthew Ward with Shannon Wexelberg, “You are my refuge” it’s one of my favorites!
Truth
Yep, four octave range. Buck Herring used to tease, saying "Matthew would be harmonizing with the vacuum cleaner."
Love you as brother in Christ. You're music touched me when I was 16 years old. Now I'm 60 .

Off the Love Broke Thru Album...still one of my favorite Christian albums

Definitely one of those classic flashback songs for us from the 70's 😎👍🏼
Sure does. Such a pure Jesus people time. So far from what the "church" is today.
Oh man. Matthew, you gotta give us another rock album! I know you have in you. Your best album ever.

I'mma tell my kids this is Terry Bradshaw accompanying Phil.

My 2 Favorites ! Throw Larry Norman up there r.i.p. and that would be one radical trio !
It's amazing how good both of them are still ! And Phil still axefully Galluping on his Amp full strength !
Why didn't they give Matthew Ward a mic.
Please make a record together! I want to hear new songs like "It's alright" and "Til the Walls fall down" - and please let Abraham Laboriel play with you again!
Michael Fischer Everything you said, Michael! ALL OF IT! That would be AWESOME!
They did...how the West was One... with A Band Called David
The Dream Team.

Yes!
Oh to play like Keaggy ..........
They needed 2 microphones.
That (would have been) nice to actually hear Matthew and Phil together.
Thanks!
Love this rendition better than the studio recording ..!!
I love how you could see the inside jokes that were told with just a look.
So good to see you both ma

Bad moon on the rise -
Great! :)
@MatthewWard Don't you have more uploads?
What....the joint couldn't cover for another mic and stand?!?!? Sheesh. Love these guys.
Where can I find this? I want to buy it!
Listen to Matt sing Send the Messiah, by Daniel Perrin. It’s on TH-cam.
Four years ago I made a comment which I regret. I have deleted it and apologise to everyone concerned.
I never knew Matthew Ward was so tall - why he must be 7'4"
I think Phil Keaggy is very short.
Phil is 3’ 4”.
No. When Matthew Ward is near a microphone, you let him sing lead.
I really hope Phil was not rapped in the cabal. The Beetles... Do your research. And it links into the "Church".
