Brad and Kyle truly modern day Ambassadors of the sport!
Good stuff. New to bowling & struggling to learn proper release. Explicit instruction. Thanks, guys.
I am a natural 1 handed bowler.
I spent 3 full games trying to bowl 2 handed. I put up higher numbers each game as the understanding of how to properly release the ball grew.
I have put up consistent 640 series lately since I tried to understand the 2 hand release.
Very good advice.
Thanks
Thanks for the video!! Getting my thumb to release earlier is definitely something I need to work on!!
Thank you so much. this help me understand yoyo release more..great video more of these kind please
Good video! Bowling is such a fun sport
Been working on this for months and to say I'm on the struggle bus is an understatement! It feels like I'm driving a truck pulling 3 trailers.
I was working on this very thing in practice yesterday. I struggle to stay under the ball because I don’t have enough wrist strength. I found a way to get my hand a little more on the side of the ball (like how a few of the ladies in the PWBA release it).
Thanks for the bowling tip! Keep them coming guys.
Kyle your my guy, that's why I'm giving you this tip. The neck hairs are not doing you any justice buddy 😂..
Nobody asked, but full beard Kyle>>>mustache Kyle
Good information, especially touching on how it affects your brain reaction. Sounds complete. Laura
What an awesome channel!
I bowl with a handy cap but this is very helpful
Kyle: "I'm not really tryna hook the ball"
Also Kyle: _sinks it into the pocket, leaves a stone 8_
Thank you for leaving an example of a miscue in. #Wetalkingaboutpractice
Thanks for the lesson! Personally, I prefer this content over another ball review. I can watch Tang's or Luke R. for those.
"What did we learn today?".....We learned that Kyle can leave a stone 8, even with no ball speed and no revs.😁
A stone 8 is garbage for a right hander lol….????💀💀💀 that means absolutely no power no continuation.
They are great tips, it’s hard for people to drop $20 $30 doin foul line drills.
I hear you, can't afford it and don't have unlimited access to lanes.
Brad, nice match at Nationals. Congrats
i will add I think im struggling trying to do 4 or 5 step approach it like i always trip over myself
I'd like to know what your grip pressure is and where it is. I cannot completely relax my hand because the ball doesn't come off as quickly as when I add a slight amount of grip pressure. However, where and how I apply that grip pressure means a lot as well
So, as an older person who has been working on this, I have finally had some success. For me it was some pitch changes and a slightly shortened span which helped. One problem, I picked up rev rate but now I have control issues as my speed didn't change. While I see much more reaction downlane, I can't control it now and can't afford to re-do my stuff. Any ideas?
Try surface change to match your game
Very good lesson!! Next video: how to properly use your legs. I hear it all the time but I don't know what to feel for? On house I'm around 210 avg around 300rpm, maybe 15 mph, 14 lbs weight. I don't know how to properly use my legs to generate speed. I do have a fast approach and run to the line. But don't know what to feel for.... please help
So, with keeping your hand under and behind the bowling ball, how would this work if your wrist won't let you?
why do you hold the bowl with the thumb facing the pins?
I have a silly question, should have known the answer years ago. When the ball is in your hand, should it sit flat and flush to your palm or is there that gap in between the ball and your hand?
Answer?
How do you uncoil a Normal release with thumb ?
You’ll need to make sure your fingers are below the equator of the ball prior to the release. As for the shoulder, focus on your non-throwing arm. Notice how Brad and Kyle’s non-throwing arm. The shoulders will work together and when you are forcing the ball with your shoulder, you’ll feel your throwing shoulder push forward prior to your non-throwing arm. You want a loose, relaxed swing. Hope this helps!
@@markdeering5129 appreciate it thanks,

Can u do a video on how to stop drifting
Drifting is fine as long as you drift to the same spot. You can also stop crossing your first step, just walk normal.
@roanldfrazier1215 I feel like I am walking normal but sometimes I drift 2times as much
Cool video talk tech bowling Brad and kyle
I can do all the foul line drills, but as soon as I put a slide step into the drill, my wrist breaks down every time. My solution was to plug all my thumb holes. It added 30 pins to my average in less than a month. I'll never put my thumb back in a ball. Never.
Also how do I know if I’m swinging with my shoulder ?
th-cam.com/video/jCHLaQ-FA1A/w-d-xo.html
Can I do this with a lighter ball? I’m afraid of re-injuring my elbow.
Bar open?
Would it kill you guys to do a ball review?
i practice releasing into my sofa😂
Question. If this video is catering to a beginner bowler, shouldn't you guys have started with instructing the folks at home to be sure they put their fingers in the ball FIRST before they put their thumb in the ball to ensure the ball comes off the hand properly?
Ah haha Ah he said stroking it down the lane
Foul line drills are fine BUT, it costs us $5.00 a game or more to practice this. You probably get to practice for free.
Become a league bowler and will be cheaper
I don't know how common this is, but the house I bowl at does 3 free games every day for summer league bowlers (and if I ask, they'll usually let me bowl a 4th or even 5th game for free on top of that). I'd see if you can find a local house that has leagues with free games and find a team to join.
Grab a carpet and a thick pillow and practice no step at home. I usually put down some beach towels under a small carpet(doormat) and use the cushions on my sofa as a backboard and do no steps.
You could use your couch at home as well.
Please do more videos yall have stayed 3 hr vlogs of just talking that's not what bowlers want...I know you want people to pay for classes but don't forget your roots.
