Sunrise at Cadillac Mountain in Acadia National Park is a must do!

This is part 1 of 2 of our vacation to Coastal Maine...specifically Acadia & Bar Harbor. We started our visit to Acadia National Park by driving up the Cadillac Mountain Summit road for early morning short hike to see beautiful Bar Harbor and the Ocean Sunrise. Afterwards we drove the scenic loop to see a pebble covered beach and the famous Bass Harbor Lighthouse which is the only lighthouse in Acadia. After driving the loop around Desert Mountain Island we got our bearings and planned for the next day of hiking in Acadia National Park

Hmm, have you heard of/been to Rockland? There is a breakwater 2/3 of a mile long made with stone columns brought in from the local quarry. There is a lighthouse at the end of it that's pretty neat.

We drove through Rockland but didn’t have time to stop, it had a really quaint and cool looking downtown. Thank you for sharing, now we will definitely have to check it out next time.
