Yeah it was! Been going to this one for many years and I think the first one had 18-20 people. Always a great event and tons of money raised for local charities makes it even better.
@@southernspiritssc All entry fees were donated to charities. The links are in the description of the video. Only one item lot included the kits. Barrel pick kits were from 2019. We love hunting at your store by the way. You guys have some great picks!
@@BourbonTheory thank you for the context, that makes much more sense then! We appreciate your support, and business! plenty of exciting picks and events in the works for 2025! 🥃
@ronchristmas1943 it’s all handled at either of the stores (Mocksville or Cooleemee). The people at the store can give you the details. I’ve been on the list so long I don’t know the process any longer. FYI there have been many ABC boards in the state that have put limitations on their lotteries this year. I.E only residents of that county and in another case they allowed adjacent counties. Not saying that will be the case but it happened in several this year. Good Luck!
NC has a terrible selection of scotch whisky. They don't carry anything that would need to be sold through a lottery and that's not nearly as common in the scotch whisky industry as it is in the bourbon industry.
@@darlsbarkley3493 The state ABC website has a list of every bottle they receive from their distributors. Just depends on what the board in the areas you're shopping in want to order and what they actually receive
@BourbonTheory yeah. That list is extremely limited. They don't even carry anything from any independent bottlers except for a couple gimmicky ones, like Last Drop.
@mattmckinney2541 There were 7 total charity raffle lots. We entered multiple of those lots. We won one of them. We took the items from that win. Those were the barrel pick kits, a Russell's pick, and a Hancocks reserve. The other bottles we won and/or passed on were drawn tickets that everyone had an opportunity at. Those drawings were not related to charities. Once again, we donated for a chance to win into multiple charity lots. We also donated to the charities prior to the lottery beginning.
WOAH what a packed event!

Very interesting that they are raffling away single barrel selection sample kits 🤔

@southernspiritssc Can't wait to get our hands on some of them!
Midwinter Nights Dram Act 12 scene 7 is fantastic. I own 2 bottles. I have the Bombergers but haven't tasted that yet.
@@Docmeff1 We managed to get our hands on another bottle! A review is on the way!
How was the lottery announced/ advertised? How did you sign up? Was it in the store online or was it show up and get tickets?

@@joeappleton6849 None at the drop. I (Josh) do own some scotch. Maybe I can rope Bill into drinking some on the channel

@darlsbarkley3493 If you can get into SC over the border near Charlotte there are a ton of great liquor store with respectable scotch selections
You sound like a character not taking the charity stuff!! Not sure why you would go to that and not buy the raffle for charity? lol
