The first lego marvel superheros is by far the best marvel lego game and overall the best lego game to this day. The nostalgia hits different, also much love Blitz, keep up the good work 👏

They're all interesting based on character rosters. Lego Avengers largely based on the MCU with a little bit of character designs from the comics, Marvel 2 the same but more variants of well known characters, and obviously Marvel 1 had the Fantastic 4 and X-Men.
They should make a Lego Marvel Avengers 2 covering avengers infinity war and endgame

Marvel 1 has a level of charm that has been missed with Avengers and Marvel 2 the original storyline and non MCU characterisation was unique and standalone on its own with the animated shows and tv of that 2012 era
I think objectively the best from the marvel series is Lego Marvel Avengers tho lego Marvel superheros 1 is my favorite I think Lego Marvel Avengers is the best in the series
Although it is cool to see the movies in Lego form, I think both of the Superheroes games are objectively better in terms of story, it gives them the space to think creatively and make their own story.
Yeah, it was more like a celebration of Marvel's history rather than a promotion of a Marvel product
actually the characters that are represented in the MCU at the time have those appearances, and they were playable at a certain way alongside the non-MCU characters:
LEVEL 1: Has Iron Man and Hulk teaming up with Spiderman
LEVEL 2: Has Captain America teaming up with Spiderman and Mr Fantastic
LEVEL 3: Has Hawkeye and Black Widow teaming up with Spiderman
LEVEL 4: Has Iron Man and Hulk teaming up with Wolverine
LEVEL 5: The first special case, because it's only between Iron Man and Captain America
LEVEL 6: Has Hawkeye and Black Widow teaming up with The Human Torch
LEVEL 7: Has Thor teaming up with Wolverine and The Human Torch
LEVEL 8: Another special case where the only playable characters are the X-Men
LEVEL 9: The third special case, which focuses more in The Fantastic Four, although we have Nick Fury with them

I would 100% choose LMSH1 as my favorite out of the 3, just a more enjoyable story, my favorite hub world and just overall very nostalgic and brings me back to my childhood memories

I think marvel 3 would be the best since marvel now has ALL of it's characters again. It would have the best potential as far as the kind of content we could get since the FF and Xmen are going to be super important once they hit the screens
I think, thoes rights only applied to MCU not Marvel comics so technically they could off done that from beggining if they've gotten rights from comics but it woldn't be mcu accurate.

Lego Marvel 1 is an entire homage to the 60s era comic books from Stan Lee and Jack Kirby from start to finish, its the best out of the 3 games because it has that pure retro original marvel comic book feel.

LMSH 2 is underrated, great lines and characters and I loved it's mash.
But I totally understand where most people come from/why they agree with this very good list.
I think the first one is over all better mainly because of the fact in the first one you can roam around without having to complete the whole game first which was a pain to do like what if I just want to play. 2 is really good as well considering it had actual voice actors and everything which is really nice because you don’t get that in many games or at all really, avengers was an alright game it was practically 1 and 2 but with actual movie lines it was pretty interesting thought and I like it for what it was
Definitely roaming around is one of the most fun things in 1 because you can unlock characters and complete quests and you don't just get forced to beat the levels

LMSH1 is not only one of the best Lego games, it's one of the best Marvel games in general. The roster alone, unspoiled by the MCU or film studio red tape, makes it the best of the bunch by far. Tons of characters, from the massively popular to the niche as hell, up to and including the X-Men and the Fantastic Four? It doesn't get any better than that.
imagine how killer lego marvel 3 will be with the x men and the fantastic four back in it and on the scale of the skywalker saga it’ll be amazing
I’m still annoyed that we didn’t get the Avengers, Fantastic Four, X-Men and the Guardians all together in Lego Marvel 2
They should make Lego Superheroes Ultimate and have more characters and vehicles. It would be cool if they had variants of the characters like, wolverine with heated claws, logan, classic wolverine you get the point, the game will be much better with more action, bigger hub world, and a much bigger roster and cool variants.
imagine a refined lego marvel game that had a lego marvel 2 map layout but every section was the size of lego marvel 1 manhattan, and the character roster combined every character on all of the games, and way more expensive characters to make it feel way more rewarding to complete
I remember playing a sort of hide and go seek game in Lego marvel superheroes 1 with my pal in freshman year i think. We'd take turns being antman and hulk buster and once we tracked eachother down we'd chase eachother to try and blow the other up. I was amazed by the size and variety of the game. There were so many things it taught me about and introduced me to in the marvel comics and films universe.
lego avengers and superheroes are super close if im being honest they were so awesome, the reason avengers may be my favorite is because the other locations it had and iron mans suit choice and other characters had different outfits and forms
And don’t forget the IronMan suits animations in avengers!

I actually love the second Lego marvel superheroes the most because I'm a sucker for the concept of it, I never really cared about story, I play Lego games to f around and find out 🤣 and I really love exploring the different worlds especially being able to go under water for once

I've played all three and I totally agree with you. LEGO Marvel Superheroes was one of the first LEGO games I played and probably the best you could start with. If you love Marvel Comics then check the first game out. The others are great as games but when it comes to the ultimate experience for a Marvel game then the first is so much better.
No matter what you may say you can't deny that it's a great Marvel videogame.
This is easily a top 3 Lego video game. Ny top three are Skywalker Saga, LMS1, and DC super villains. I haven't played many Lego games but these have hundreds of characters to collect and amazing open world designs. Your top three might be different but that's better than ok because we all love different things.
LMA is a great concept having the Avengers Movies be in Lego form where yo-yo can play, but I said great in concept and everything you said about it is spot on.
I loved the first one as a kid I played on the 3ds. Never fully finished it cause I dumb as hell lol. I also got stuck on a part where u had to float on some air vent, for a month because I didn’t know how to. I might get it again on the switch for memories
we need a skywalker-saga esque lmsh3 with all the characters from the first and second game (avengers is different universe)
Never got to play the first Lego Marvel Superheroes when it came out. (Have since played it, super fun) But Lego Marvel Avengers is my number 1 Lego Marvel game, even with the limited roster and unoriginal story.. It was just more fun to go back and play the hub worlds to me. *Even as a just a casual MCU fan*

@@coopercollingburn5242 Being an Iron Man fan I love Avengers. It t me has more replayability. You can complete all the side quests and replay them again if you want. I did however mod the game so all of iron Man's suits were usable from the start. You can also just go around New York stopping a decent amount of crime, where as Marvel 1 I don't think did that, and Marvel 2 does have that, but It's stupid that they removed Iron Man having all those suits and being able to switch them to what you needed. I hope we get a Lego Avengers 2 that will keep getting new content. Especially as the Globe mission select was pretty cool of a thing.

I think what superheroes two did better than superheroes one was the voice acting? They had a lot of talented voice actors and their delivery was fantastic.

Hey Blitzwinger, I got a great lego video idea for you, try “Which Lego Game is best, LEGO MARVEL Superheroes 2 vs LEGO DC Super Villains?” You should check which one has a great story, Character Gameplay, DLC Levels, Best Vehicles, Red/Pink Brick Power Ups, the best Open Hub World, and Best Villain, plus any categories you want to add to make the games versus each other before declaring which one is the BEST!!!

Imagine a new LEGO Marvel's Avengers today especially after the ending of The Avenger's Endgame. They could do the Disney+ Marvel Shows as DLC and a few of the other movies as well. I would buy it Day 1 especially if it's anything like what they did with The Skywalker Saga.
I really do hope this is their next game.
Superheroes greatest strength was definitely the fact that it wasn't just the Avengers. The Fantastic 4 and X-Men added a great flavour.

Lego marvel 1 is so nostalgic for me I still remember the day I got it 10 years ago for Christmas an being so happy cus its all I wanted in a video game lol I was a huge fuckin lego an marvel nerd, I used to think it was embarrassing how much I loved marvel an lego but now I find those memories comforting an always cherish them, this and spidsr man shattered dimensions are always gonna hold a special place in my heart no matter how flawed they might be looking back idec, I just wish I could go back to those times tbh
Lego marvel superheros 1 the character cast alone and the great story and the amazing open world! And its even more great because it came out in 2013! Game was way ahead of its time! The special traits in each character was great! Wolverine with the Adamantine skeleton and claws! To deadpool to stan lee and playing as lego hulk spiderman and iron man! All just awesome!
Bro, not to mention the first Lego Marvel Superhero’s is not completely based on a movie which I kinda love. I think I used to think “eh, that’s stupid” but now, it’s kinda genius imo
I agree Lego Avengers is underrated. Specially cuz it was the first to introduce the super jump mechanic which I always felt was lacking in the first one. Plus the super speed is way better in it too.
I got these games as a bundle on a big sale due to sheer lack of other marvel games out there especially on Xbox where like you see spider man and wolverine coming to PlayStation and even switch got ultimate alliance 3 exclusively and Xbox basically just gets the occasional multiplatform.

I liked the first one the best, it had more of a comic feel, better VAs, and the comedy didn’t feel as forced. I also liked the characters better as they were more original, not just like the movies

People should know about the nasty freezes that happen when you try to create and use a characte in the first game. My PS3 has only frozen 3 times since I bought it. Twice was with the first LEGO MARVEL SUPER HEROES. I think this part of the game is broken. After the second freeze I sold it. I was scared that it would permanently damage my console. Part 2 had the Hulk super jumps which I really enjoyed.

lego marvel superheroes was my whole childhood. when i bought lego marvel superheroes 2, i couldn’t even get past the first mission because i hated it so much. there is just something better about the first one
lego marvel avengers is quite almost the upgraded version of lego marvel superheroes 1 minus the nostalgic atmosphere and small but satisfying roster featuring the xmen and fantastic four
Personal Favorite:
Lego Marvel Super Heroes (1) had an amazing use of the characters and their superpowers, plus personally I have great nostalgia while thinking about it.
Personal (close) second:
Lego Marvel Avengers lost some of the great characters we had in LMSH(1) but at the same time added even better(!) characters with fun new features like Ant-Man and Fin Fang Foom with the size changing abilities, or Iron Man with the new suits and suit changing screen and animations.

Lego Marvel Super Heroes 2, at least for me, was kind of a disappointment.
it had much more characters, but less were memorable.
The map change was nice as a concept but I would still like to play inside New York City.
Despite all of the points I have mentioned above, I still emjoyed playing this game and even played it again a couple of times.

Lego marvel superheroes 2: I absolutely love the graphics and the open world, always unique and fun, especially love how there’s different filters for different places. Some missions are amazing like basically all of the ones including spider man. Oh yeah love how you could choose what part of the story you could do at a time not just being restricted. Main complaint is where is the consistency from the 1st one and Hawkeye and black widow only being quest characters
Lego marvel avengers: I mean I absolutely love the films and have no interest in the comics so this was a bonus for me. I actually really do like how the voices were from the films. Another great part is the over world, there being lots of cool areas you could travel to.
Lego marvel superheroes: I played it recently and it wasn’t too great in my eyes. While yes there were some memorable missions like the X men one, most of the ones in space, the dinosaur island and obviously galactus. Love how it basically confirmed every Lego game would be voice acted by being the second one they used proper voice lines not from the movies (unlike LLOTR). However now for my dislikes about it. I feel like the overworld is pretty boring except for the helicarrier(is that how it’s spelled) as I feel like Lego marvel superheroes did it kinda better? Another thing I do not like is the flight while yes I did start on console I’ve moved to my Nintendo switch and the flying is torture for this being my second Lego game on the switch. The Thor DLC is useless as there’s like ONE good character, other dlc was great tho.
In conclusion I will be adding to this list after I’ve replayed both LMS2 and LMA and the list might change but for now this is how I stand. Also absolutely love how you both criticise and say how good the games are with valid reasons. Great ranking to you!

in my opinion i'm saying this with just memory i haven't played marvel super heroes but when i was a kid the jump from super heroes and avengers was massive so many more mechanics that made the game feel so different it was amazing i'm placing avengers number 1 but that is just from my memory's opinion i have to hop back on marvel super heroes and experience it agian.

Marvel legos super heroes 1 was basically the continuation of marvels ultimate alliance we never had! The galactus boss fight and the cutscenes were legit peak! Idc if its a kid game that game was legit magical, the way it was both for casuals and for long time fans was amazing! Just wish the combat was updated to lego marvels avengers a bit

as someone who finished all those , i can by far say that the best fighting is in lmsh2 , the best scenes , graphics , lighting shading and sruff is lego avengers, but by far the most fun is lmsh1
