I love the way you do your tutorials. I especially like the cast on where you remove the excess yarn and make a tighter beginning edge. The rib stitch looks pretty. Thank you!
Tutorials are very well done. Your manner is gentle and without being overly wordy. I like how you get us going and then return later. There is not any wasted time. And the scarves are very pretty. I look forward to making each one!
Thanks Katherine. I made it with bernat blanket yarn and it was beautiful. Thank you for your instructions. Had a hard time at first but when I got the repeat pattern it went fast.
Got my master zippy years ago and never used it. The accessories were still in plastic. I am going to try this. I want to use 3 colors red white and blue.
How did your tail end up at the right when it was time to bind off, since every rib stitch ended at the left side before knitting them over? Thank you!
That's a good question. I re-watched the video and was scratching my head for a bit. I believe I must have just turned the loom around, simply because I am more used to binding off from left to right.
@@hellomsyarn Interesting! After I messaged, I thought I’de try & figure it out. Since we cast on with the figure-8, I thought maybe you did one last figure-8 row, this ending at the right. This seemed to work? I finished the cast off of my swatch, which I messed the very end up, but aside from my mistake, both ends of the scarf appear to be the same. Does this make sense? Thank you for your help & the quick replies as well!
@@justinkallio4283 If the Figure 8 worked for your swatch, that is great! When I try to read my stitches at the bind off, it looks like I did not do a Figure 8. But that does mean that Fig 8s are a bad idea. In my latest video, I did a Fig 8 before bind off and it made my bind off better.
The scarf is really pretty and I'm thinking of making one for myself. Do you have to use the large loom pegs or can they be small even if you use jumbo yarn? Also, Can you do more than 7 sets of pegs to make the scarf wider?
Hi, if you use a smaller loom, you would need a lighter weight yarn. The jumbo yarn would be too big. As for the width, you can use more pegs to make the scarf wider.
This doesn't add yarn to your working yarn. It just tightens it.what a waste of working yarn. I have almost 2 feet. I wish some one would find another way. I do like cindwood vixeo. Its easier to do. But thank you Katherine

I'm only 2 min's in and I had to comment, AWESOME!! 😍
Figure 8 stitch is your cast on. I love your videos but haven't done this yet. Please add at the beginning list weight and name of yarn. Thank you.
Is there anything I should consider if I want to use this pattern for a double knit loom blanket?

Do you have to use the white yarn at the beginning or is that just personal preference?
I will use any colour as long as it's different from the colour of my scarf and can be easily seen.
How long is the scarf once finished using the 3 skiens?
Hi, it's 63 inches or 160 cm long.
How do you connect zippy looms to make a double rake? Is there a different connector piece?
Yes, there is a special piece to make a double take.

That's not redheads because it looks like a #6weight which I don't think redheads has.
