But there is something else: Claude gave him a purpose to live, something to surrender the essence of his mortal being: revenge on Sebastian Michaelis for killing his brother. And yet, groveling to beg for the love of a simple butler? Truly, a vulgar little soul. Food too tasteless for a demon.
People hate Claude mainly for this moment. But nobody acknowledges that Sebastian would do exactly the same to Ciel. In fact, he almost did in the manga.

I feel like Claude is a little bit worse because he was eyeing another demon’s prey. Not saying Sebastian is any better, but at least he doesn’t stray away from what’s already his. Then again, demons have their own way of thinking so trying to humanize them is virtually impossible (not counting Sebastian’s weakness for cats). At the end of the day, they’re both demons and will eventually get what they want. It’s only a matter of time
People tend forget this is a literal child. He was put through horrible shit. He doesn't know how to love someone properly or how to be loved properly because the only people who ever loved him as they should died when he was very young. He just wanted to be happy. He's really a tragic character tbh.

Claude wanted nothing to do with Alois. Alois fell inlove with Claude, and Claude knew that, so he used that to gain Alois' trust, to kill him in the end, in an attempt to get Ciel.
I know Alois was a different character. Every person has a good and a bad side, while as for the show seeing his bad side first is kinda giving a first impression. It is very easily to judge a person especially when there is poetic justice. He suffered a lot since his childhood There was barely someone idealistic for him to look up to, during the criticism of the villages and his father ehhh.. ..... was a different person to think about. I would be equally angry if something put me in the bad side even when it wasn't my mistake. He had no one he could hold when he felt down except LUKA Afterall he was in authority/ big brother role, but after his death you know he literally was (alone) Now I do feel bad for the other characters especially for (hanna) but after all alois had a complex personality Also what do you expect from a demon ( claud was doing what he meant to) Hence I rest my case

It’s the scene that he finally realizes just how weak of a soul alois has, that he would refer to Claude with such a powerful name like “my highness”. Claude realizes he could be doing so much better by instead eating Ciels soul, Ciel being someone who is far more stubborn and far less weak than Alois is. This is why Ciel and Sebastian > Alois and Claude. Ciel and Sebastian are both much more loyal and more professional than Claude and Alois. Alois goes back on his wish to have Ciel Phantomhive, and Claude kills him before he can.
Alois clearly has abandonment issues but since Claude is always there to save him and help him the teenage boy thought of that as love which is why he calls Claude his highness. (No I don't ship them, I hate Claude for breaking his contract but this is what I found on google and looking back on it, it makes sense seeing the way Alois talks about Claude).
Alois changed his wish and wanted the claude to never leave his side and he granted it thus claude took his soul. I think thats what happens anyways lol
It is because it's written in the demon's contract that the Human has to keep on pursueing to reach the goal. Alois breaks the contract when he almost killed himself. ( in the Manga, when Ciel is suffering lots in the Witch arc and he begins to wonder off the path that would pursue the goal of revenge, Sebastian almost kills him too. )

Of course none of you have obviously read the manga. Alois committed a breach of contract therefore Claude was within his rights to kill him. Later on in the manga Ciel slips up and briefly forgets about his contract and Sebastian nearly killed him for it.

I honestly feel bad for Alois. He had a tragic past, lost his loved ones, and died in a horrible way. Claude was all he ever had but he could care less about Alois, he is a demon after all.

Of course none of you have obviously read the manga. Alois committed a breach of contract therefore Claude was within his rights to kill him. Later on in the manga Ciel slips up and briefly forgets about his contract and Sebastian nearly killed him for it.
What was the breach??
@@Natoshagordin Alois wanted Claude to love him and be by his side knowing Claude is demon and he can't really love it's not in his nature to do so alois tried to change his contract for love instead of revenge so claude had to kill him
