@@MirasaurusRex I sewed up the seam under the eyes first, top stitched. Then I sewed the top and bottom pieces together, top stitched. Then I sewed just the top center seam, top stitched. Then lastly the bottom seam. My pieces didn't line up perfectly either. Between all the steps it is easy for things to shift. I just did my best to line things up, but I did have to ease and stretch a bit here and there! Also double check you didn't sew any of the pieces in wrong. I did and I couldn't get things to line up right at first! Haha Hope that helps!
@@toriander1080 thank you for the advice, I managed to get it. Now it's all done save the dreaded eyeholes. I do not have conveniently sized curtain rings or anything of the like sitting around so I'm quite terrified I'm going to have to do the thing with the circles and the tiny flaps and the suffering.
Trying to make this to work with a mask to wear outside, im 13 so I don't go out much but still, imagine some 7.5 kid in the pet store with this on and then you realise that their pet is a rat, like not to day satin not today
So much detail was left out. I have been working on this project for two days. Anyway you could please do a more detailed tutorial? I would appreciate the help. The pattern peices are making it so difficult.
You could add grommets to the bottom of the beak. It won't be easily seen from there. The grommets will help it look professional (vs poking a few holes and leaving it raw).
Plague but make it ✨ cute ✨
just what i needed, also the background music is my favorite im so happy
It's much easier to learn how to make this when I can watch how its done. Thank you!
This is awesome! Thank you I am going to make this and put it on for my Virtual Lessons!
This makes me want to learn how to sew. 🧵
its not hard just takes patience!
Teach me the ways of needles and fabric!!!!
DO IT 💕
@@angeldollep8769 I’ll ask my Grandma to teach me.
I'm such a pleb at sewing but I feel like I need this for work if ren faires start happening again while the plague is still about.
That is a great idea!
@@toriander1080 I'm currently at the step where you sew together the 4 big quilted pieces and I'm having a alot of trouble ling everything up T_T

I did this mask with the simpler pattern but I kinda want to try that one now x)
this looks so good!!
Thank you for this fun video
Glad you enjoyed it!
Tfs 💗 you are awesome
What did you used to stiffen the fabric? Quilt padding? Sorry, I can't make out what you said :/
Quilt batting. By the looks of it, the one used in the video was either a cotton or a cotton/poly blend.

Oh my god this is so cute
Love this!
What is the fabric you are cutting up in the beginning the see through white fabric
The fusible interfacing!
@@toriander1080 thank you
This is so cute but is it difficult to breathe in that? Or can you poke air holes in it?
If you want to, you can actually poke some air holes in the bottom part, because it is hard to see them...
@@amip.4558 Thank you ❤️
How would you like clean it tho hmmm
@@piratehalfdroid7370 maybe washing it by hand I feel like the washer machine would probably ruin it idk
@@dragonprincess4138 ah i see. im planning to make one but not as a quilt more like just fabric and wires and stuff but im iffy
Could I wear this as a mask for coronavirus?
It's made of the same stuff as other home made masks! I don't see why not.
I’m making one for me now! Why not?
Coool, do you think it could be done with felt?
id love to make it but i have a question: can you see well enough out of it?
It would depend how you make the eyes!
How about it being breathable?

Cute o((*^▽^*))o
I'm slightly sad, I came here to see how to make the eye rings but you used pre-made goggle rings
Are you showing respect
You probably won't see this but I dont have quilt batting. Is there any materials I can use?
You could use fleece for the same effect!
@@toriander1080 Oh ok! does felt work too?
@@akanetori388 Yeah, it just wouldn't look as "puffy" and quilted. But felt would make a good base
