- Hope this helps someone do their timing belt and not take it to a shop and save them money because the cost of the shops on these older vehicle’s is not worth it hope you like and subscribe thank you
One of the best explained methods I've seen on the Isuzu 3.2l yet.
Thanks
Thank you for documenting your experience, it was very helpful to me.
That clacking valve type noise could be caused by someone removing the cams and not knowing that you need to put a pin in it. The cams have a double gear that is spring loaded to take the backlash out of the gear that meshes with the jack shaft that the timing belt sprocket is attached to.
If you pull the cams and dont know this, the engine will be slightly out of time and sound very much like this.
Ask me how I know.
Could I start the car after I've done timing belt to see if it runs and was done correctly or can it not be tested until it's all back together?
Those engines are notorious for having the timing belts put on wrong because there are several marks on the cams. I've bought three that were not running because of this. Want amigo one passport and one rodeo. All for around $500. Quick flip
The guy doing this doesn't know this engine. These are very different.
I replaced a timing belt and water pump and it runs like new now cause the last person that did it was off a few teath on the cam gear appreciate your comment and concern though but it’s doing great I’m not a izusu expert I’m a all around mechanic that’s all
@@torque405 There's always a jack of all trades but master at none in the comments... That's for the video, it was a great help. 👍
@@LSD123.There's more to the quote: A jack of all trades is a master of none, but oftentimes better than a master of one.
You've been lied to your whole life.
La banda no tiene que ber chacales bien
From what I gather these 3.2L are non-interference. Good thing eh? What do you think of these SOHC motors?
correct it’s non-interference they are ok just keep up maintnanc
If you read the manual, these engines are in fact interference engines. If the belt breaks bad stuff happens
