- Here's a little insight into my thoughts on the ups and downs I've experienced since I made the agonising decision to ditch wigs, shave my head and embrace my baldness. It's a bit rambley and pointless but hey, so am I.
I've had alopecia areata (an autoimmune condition resulting in hairloss) for the past 5 years but to publicly share my struggles with the disease by refusing to cover up my bald patches is a new thing for me, as I previously hid my condition with wigs or inventive hairstyles. As scary as it is to reveal your most tender vulnerabilities to the world I feel like I've stripped myself of a huge burden and, as cliche as it is to say it, I finally feel free.

I buzzed my hair because I just wanted to stop wasting my time on hair. I'm tomboy so it wasn't big thing for me. I never felt better or sexier than with shaved hair, look at some African tribes where women have shaved hair and they don't lack sexapil. Own it girl and don't feel bad, you're beautiful young female and some great man will appreaciate your inner and outer beauty. If you want you can style your new looks like Amber Rose 😝 it's too sexy for me so I stick with my tomboyish style 😁 Hugs

Have you ever considered scalp micropigmentation, I lost my hair a few years ago, got SMP, scalp micropigmentation, changed my entire life, best thing I've done, I feel great, I look better and have more confidence...
A voice inside me keeps telling me to shave my head. I already have a side cut. Idk? Should I?
I notice it's been about 10 months ... Any regrowth?? I've recently been diagnosed with it aswell.

I don't like wearing wigs too. I want to shave my head. I have alopecia too but Iam not ready yet although I can't hide it anymore always wearing a hat.
