Very helpful tips. I am the type of person that prefers to wear waders year round I just don't like to get wet plus I have phone storage like you said.

I actually have stepped on a ray last year, got hit pretty good. I wasn’t even walking around I had been standing in a spot for a few minutes and took a back to adjust footing and he was right there. Just some bad luck normally shuffling will help though, but I wear shin guards now lol

Man a 6”6 to a 6”9. Honestly the shorter the rod the better. It will really help you be able to pin point your placement along with keeping the rod/reel out of the water when you’re landing a fish or throwing out your lure. Also will save your shoulder over time
