More private defence firms needed
They can bay 60000 cores for Rafael but can't pay more for development ... It's research it will take time .... We should invest more on research whatever it may be ... Government should think about this ....

HF24 Marut was the first one developed in 60s.
This engine can be used in commercial planes and the improvement can continue.

DRDO is working on very complex models and multiple projects, fund also creats a major problem i think govt should involve private players now in defence sector to speed up project

Why India is not taking help from Russia?
India doesn't even have a flying test bed for jet engines, it has to rely on overseas FTBs. Which is expensive and delays projects to quite an extent. India should invest in proper tools first, then focus on manufacturing jet engines.
