It means for a few years under INA control. Later they were reverted back to India (Britain, as the rulers of India).
Andaman and Nicobar Islands are key assets for India , very strategic location which will be very useful against china , good move by current Indian government, more to go.
This can proved to be game changer for Indian security to counter China in this region. Good decision from current Indian Govt. Jai Hind. Jai Bharat 🇮🇳🙏

If we had atleast one percent of courage a decade ago, we should have saved palk strait and Kacchatheevu too 😣 Now we should do the same development in lakshadweep too
You never said a word about the Lakshadweep Islands on the south west of India. If India were to develop ANDAMAN & NICOBAR ISLANDS then why not Lakshadweep Islands, .
