When you show up in the morning to surf fish do you usually start with top waters/jerkbaits/etc, or do you setup the big rods first then work the smaller ones? I usually do the big rods first but starting to think try the smaller ones up close first 🤣. I know stupid question. 🤷🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️

Cotton Bayou filled with tourists by 9 am... Ran us off. I do want to thank you BBB for getting me back out there and fishing. was a blast:)

Oh my gosh I used to eat them as a snack when I was a kid too. My son and I love them and he’s older he’s grown there’s nothing like sitting back and eating that as a snack. By the way monster trout! And I absolutely love it when you fish from the beach. Keep it up!

When you are casting from the beach, do you tie mono to braid for your leader. Or do you use a swivel?

Just depends on what style of fishing and what you’re targeting. I have both for different reasons.

Cuts are definitely a top priority. Bait running is also a big clue. Blues will push bait more than trout.
