    Rick shares a lot of knowledge in this extensive walk through and this was well worth the watch if you just want to learn a few new things. Thanks for sharing!

    Wow. Rick has a phenomenal knowledge base about the natural world. This video was really beautiful and a great learning experience. When he zoomed in on that moose track I was hooked👍🏼

    Maine is basically the last affordable non-desert area of the country. If the political situation didn't seem like it was slowly moving towards the situation in Massachusetts/Connecticut, I'd move there in a heartbeat. It's just such a gamble to build my forever homestead in a place that slowly seems to be shifting in the direction towards its northeastern neighborhors. I'm worried what it'll be like 10 years from now - especially concerning 2A rights.

    ...an interesting piece of property, highlights by Master Maine Guide, (cool!) knowledge of timber, soils and wildlife, the doable and the not really viable future land uses. Quite the walk in the woods.

    Tonight I'm definitely going to pick up the Winning Mega Millions Ticket. I'd purchase this property, and probably 10 more like it all over Maine. This is the Dream to own property with your own Trout Pond and Stream. I'd keep this one, put an nice off grid year round cabin home on it and the other 9 or so I'd buy I'd hold raffles, and give them away to those who have the same dream..
    Couple other investments, helping Veterans first, Single Parents,, Abused Women, etc. Lots of people you could take care of with this Big Lottery tonight. Almost $1 Billion Dollars. Awesomeness!!! You put Big smiles on lots of families faces all over with that kind of Deniro..
    Thank you for showing us the Pond, Stream, and the Blueberries and of course the nice clean snow machine road. Lots of fun on this property for sure. Have a Blessed Day.

    Why do you always say there is woodland worth harvesting? All your videos ever show is an almost completely stripped piece of land." When it comes ready to harvest again", your grand kids may benefit.

    It would be helpful if you marked your listings in the title closed once they sell. That's what most other youtube real estate companies do.
    Looked like a really nice property.
    I'll get back to searching...

  • @Jacked01

    so you can't throw camp on this it has to stay wooded?

    • @richardtheriault7624
      @richardtheriault7624 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You can put a camp on it. You would need to remove a portion of it from Tree Growth to build a cabin. People do that sort of thing all the time.

    Rick, does snowmobile access give them hunting rights on your property? Valley, flood zone?

    • @richardtheriault7624
      @richardtheriault7624 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      The snowmobile trail is for trail riding during the winter riding season typically late December through March. Irt does not coincide with hunting season.
      Maine is a posting state. If you absolutely do not want anyone hunting on your land without your express permission, then you need to post it. The law is very clear on how to go about doing that. I hunt on someone else;s land that as a policy lets anyone hunt on their property. They are one of Maine's largest landowner families and great hunters and outdoors people.

    any signs of Sasquatch forest people? Is this constantly wet and swampy?

    • @richardtheriault7624

      There were several tree breaks (right angle breaks) and X's throughout your video. No need to be scared if they exist on the property. They are cousins of ours and will not harm you if you leave them alone and show them your love.

    Some things I learned living off grid in Ashland the past 2 months this year and 3 months last year.
    A local radio station rebroadcasts all weei red sox games.
    I get great cell phone and hotspot internet from at&t.
    I get 7 tv stations with an external tv antenna.
    Ployes, chicken stew, and poutine are great if you go a bit north.
    Any fundraising dinners by the haystack historical society are great, especially the pies.
    There is some sort of festival almost every weekend if you are willing to drive a bit
    Everyone has a story about hitting a moose at night, don't drive after dark.
    Amish rough cut lumber is available in ft Fairfield.
    Almost everyone knows someone living in an Amish shed.
    After work urban happy hours are replaced by before work breakfast. Several restaurants open 530 am.
    Most businesses will refer you to someone else if they aren't the best option.
    In season food available in a farmstand in town. The shurfine grocer (old iga) has some great deals, especially when the presque isle high school farm brings in apples.
    Amazon delivers to po box at the ashland post office..
