One very big point you sadly missed: Don't use a 4, 5 or 6-point without HANS/HYBRID device and a helmet. In case of an accident, your body will be nice and tight in the seat but your head doesn't get the memo, which can cause some serious injuries (basilar skull fracture). This is why OEM 3-points can stretch a bit (to not make the stop "as sudden").
Correct, usually. There are a few exceptions, like the Takata Drift and some by Scroth, which have what basically amounts to a breakaway in the shoulder belts. They let you fold forwards into the airbag like a 3-point seatbelt would, while otherwise holding you tight in the seat like a normal harness. Not sure on the exact harness used here but I'd hope it's one that has this feature
Music choice is fantastic - where do you get it? Seat makes a huge difference - I was blown away by how much more connected I felt to the car the first time I drove mine with racing seats installed. Keep it up!
Love your videos and your passion. The Miata is coming together great and I hope you keep things going! Youre the tuner guru on TH-cam right now with the explain videos, and these miata build segments are a great way to shake it up with something new.
Great video, you should do all your videos away from the computer. Your videos are very informative but I was beginning to think that you don't even drive a car because all of your videos where at home in front of a gaming PC. P.S. love those Recaro seats, good choice!
Excellent video! The most thorough and detailed one I have seen so far on this mod. Looking to do this to my 99 nb, do you have the link to the mounts and seat? Thank you!
from an automotive engineering product development point of view, the 6 point will keep you attached to your seat, but the flimsy and thin seat mounting bracket is weak. Best of luck!
I discovered your Chanel today and I love how you film and explain 👌 About the seat, do you want to daily it or it's to contraignant? The seat don't touch the door?
Hey man, love your work, if you're ever free mind making an explain episode talking about harness and the difference between them and normal seat belts, topic does sound simple but I feel like there's more to it
Awesome video! Great information here for when I get around to doing my seats. Quick question though, how tall are you? I'm 6'3 and have been having the hardest time finding a seat that fits me and also doesn't require cutting the trans tunnel to fit. Any info would be greatly appreciated!
Man, I just installed my seat back brace and harness then learned that my neck can break with this set up unless I’m wearing a Hans Device. Pray that you’re no in a head on collision and your head goes flying forward while the rest of you stays behind planted in the seat.
@@MZopyrus they fitted well! I got the evo1 seats which are a tad narrower then the evo 2s. So no need for bashing the trans tunnel. I’m using garage star brackets which fitted perfectly. Only issue is that the wing of the seat touches the door card. I’m looking into getting a thinner card for the future. Just need to put my nrg quick release and Sparco wheel on next cause it’s a pain in the a** to get in and out.
@MZopyrus Love your content, so helpful. Now that you've got roll bar and seats installed, are you still able to put the soft top up and down? Most people seem to replace their track Miata's soft top with a hard top but I want to keep mine when I buy a Miata.
Hey man, I’m thinking of getting this mount to go with my recaro SPG. But I wanted to know how tall you are and if the mount lowered you down at all? Thanks!
I want to upgrade my 08 Cadillac cts (AWD with 3.6 v6 di) and I'm looking for some pointers because I've never done anything like this before. so what advice do y'all have?
You could, but make sure you use a backing plate on the other side .. there should be a hole for the seatbelt buckle though .. it's not at the same height as the other side so it's not really great and might not pass track inspection but can be used in a pinch
Damn, a new upload!
Always glad to see more content!
Same here😂
Appreciate it 😁
The excitement of watching this beforehand is mesmerising.... The expectations are above par.😊😊😅😅
10 months ago...... See what I mean when I said please don't take too long, we're always hungry for more content 😃😃

Great videos man love to see where your car goes !!
You should definitely link the parts!
Love watching your stuff dude
I appreciate it man 🙏🏼

after the steering wheel vid do the turbocharger upgrade!!
What mic are you using while driving? The audio is so good especially considering there’s no roof
It's my trusty Tascam DR-10L 😁
Love the video man! I just put a sparco evo on my miata project!
Ooh, I was looking at those too! How is the fit?

Thanks and yes, both the softtop and the hardtop still go on the car. No interference at all
Did you have to hammer your trans tunnel?

Curious too since I am also considering these seats. I'm 6' with a 34'' waist. The NBFL seats give me hardly any headroom
Were these pole position ABEs or the FIA ones?

Great topic👍
Do you tune 3.8 Gen coupe remotely....?
Does the seat touch the doorcard? Leaving a mark on it?
It does not, there is a 3 to 5 mm gap
@@MZopyrus which version of the pole positions are these?
@@garagism5736 Pole Position N.G
Can i ask how tall you are so i can compare if i would fit
My miata does not have holes on the inner sides of both seats do I need to drill them myself?

My brother are muslim by any chance
WTF are you talking about ?!
