Gave a Thumbs up just because you gave the values in the metric system too!
yeah respect for that, I've asked channels like TechInsider to please, stop thinking america is the world and start putting metric and imperial system insted of just american. Did you know, america DOES NOT use the imperial system, even though all the citizens use it, its actually based on metric, and america is a metric country, has a kilogram template and the imperial system is based on metric values. Officially an ounce is defined an 28.3495231 grams and an inch as 2.54 centimeters
These are by far the coolest rounds u guys have ever shot! Can't wait to see what the final product will be like if these are this good already and are only in the prototype stage!

In the first shot on the gummy bears, the wadding was actually separated from the slug. It followed the slug into the cavity and was trapped there after the fact. Otherwise, I completely agree with your assessments. And I like the idea of trying an overpowder card in the wad to see if separation is enhanced. Keep up the good (and interesting 😊) work.
You should do a vid on these things called *breaker balls* they're .68 cal glass balls coated in rubber meant to be fired from a paintball gun (used in home/self defence) I think they would make a cool load in a shotgun shell
Thanks Mr. Jeff. As always very fun video. In regards to the sticking wadding. It takes a lot more pressure, to get that heavy slug moving. That much energy, may be melting the wadding plastic and in effect, hot gluing the two together. A possible fix, would be a release agent, applied to the back of the projectile. i.e. High temperature silicon oil, or a low melting temperature wax.
Usually when that happens you use a nitro card, which is just a card stock disk between the wadding and the slug. I've seen other slugs like the Lee Key drive slug have a similar issue with the wadding sticking in it, and the nitro card fixed that issue.
10:56 I think its fantastic to see what kind of tunnel the slug creates and the wadding flies right after it and gets caught by the second tunnel collapsing, i would have never thought it would have happened like this
Prsk You know what's funny? The usa actually "uses" the metric system, as all weights are defined by the nation standard kilogramm and then just converted
I know that. I also saw Veritasium. I don't have any problems with grains and oz and so on. The problem is I just can't imagine the weight in my head when I see it in different units. Of course I can convert it or just think about it a little longer but still...
Officer Greg’s humor just earned them a sub! This dude is hilarious! That damn slug looks like it hits like a charging rhino. I’m imagining hitting a big buck with one and picking up deer pudding at the kill site.
Nice Jorge reference at the start. As far as OG shooting left of center well...you know closet liberal maybe. Nah probably his shoulder is just deteriorating from all those shotgun slugs. Another great vid man.

That first slow motion gummy bear shot was cool with how the wadding for the slug was stuck in the slip stream of the slug and went through the first gummy bears temporary wound cavity and almost made it through the second gummy bears temporary wound cavity.

Hey guys, your comments are almost better than the entire shooting test. I couldn't stop laughing throughout the entire test. Great. Building all the houses in Amsterdam would require a damned lot of "heavy hitters". LOL
While weighing the round you made me realize a .50 bmg bullet typically weighs more than 1.5 oz.... I've known for a long time it's a 660+ grain round but I'd never converted it to ounces before.... knowing that a .50 cal is spitzer bullet traveling at 2-3 times the muzzle velocity of a shotgun and (generally) shoots a heavier bullet than 1 oz. shotgun slug? All my respect for the power of shotguns just got added on top of my venerable respect for .50 bmg. Insane.
Try using flash powder in the hollow cavity of the slug and top of with those 209 primers. Generally you will get a brighter flash with those and more quickly ignite. I used them for spotter rounds a time or two. 20 veteran L.E. officer here...always enjoy the tests you all do.
