The best method for a flawless look for me is fingers, I spent so much on different brushes then tried just using my fingers when one of my friends recommended it and I love it! It works really, especially around the eyes and gives me a full coverage
I started applying concealer with my fingers and I loved it. For some reason it blends it in effortlessly and if it is too much you can just wipe your finger in a paper and continue to blend the rest. It also depends on the type of product. If it is very liquid then it's best to use a brush or if you don't have one then sponge but if it is creamy or stick form you can use anything.
Hey! You lived Ireland like me right? When I get flaky skin I use Bourjois 10 hour sleep effect, I apply it with my finger tips and light pat it in, it keeps the skin really dewy and natural looking x
I dunno if you saw you favourite foundation for your skin type but you might wanna check it out :) I have to say I love Loreal True Match or for a little lighter coverage Garnier BB cream for combo/oily skin not the dry, one the dry one is terrible :)
So happy you like them, Loreal True Match is actually becoming my favourite they have yellow, pink and neutral tones and I love the texture and coverage :)
I like that you don't knock any of the methods, so many youtubers say you shouldn't use your fingers or this brush or that brush, and you actually talk about when and why you can use each method!
I really love how you have been focusing so much on foundation lately! I think it's one of those things that people tend to just guess at when it could really make a worlds difference when done right! Thanks for teaching us!
I didn't know that there are different ways to apply foundation with different directions and whatnot for different reasons. I only learned this year. I thought it's okay as long as it's put in the face. Such a simpleton! XD
I just want to take this time to tell you how informative and helpful your videos are! More recently I have spent a lot of time scrolling through and watching your videos and learning lots in everyone! Please keep it up as I love your videos! x
Hello :) Yep you can apply it all over the face, I like to use my finger tips to go over my eye lids tho :) just be careful you don't get it all over your eyebrows, If you do just wipe it off :)
Wonderful!!! Thank you SO MUCH! This was so helpful! I had no idea about the stippling brushes. That's why you're my favorite guru...you just give it to us straight!
You want to be as careful as you can so maybe your finger tips or a sponge, make sure whatever tool you use you keep it as clean as possible and wash everything really well after every use, which I'm sure I don't have to tell you :) xx
i was happy when you said you like the idea of using your hands to apply makeup cos so many makeup guru/people/artists always seem to think they are too professional just to go with the simple hand technique
Wow great vídeo. The best and practical one I needed for my need about the brushes. Im so happy to know how many things I can do with just what I have and that it is what most benfit me. I saw many vídeos of other people about this and was so confuse. Know Im happy and sure. Thank you for your work.
Its so sweet you're trying your best to reply to all of the comments!! xx your videos really helped me :) I personally like using a beauty blender but a duo fibre brush sounds good! Might as well try and use it
You know what - im a training makeup artist and I love just learning more from you! I like how you are organizing your vids- for eye colour- or foundation I think Its sweet :)
Oh no I mean scrubbing when you apply foundation is bad, if you are cleaning your skin feel free to exfoliate but that's not what we were talking about :) If you rub your foundation in it can irritate the skin and the foundation wont sit well on the skin.
Guess you might have missed the video on that, in my last video I talked about that. You would apply a lighter foundation so your face will blend with your light neck and body, If your neck was the only thing lighters and your face, chest and body were darker then your neck you would apply a bronzer to the neck and match the face and body :)
first time seeing your channel :) thanks for the vid, i have used many different kinds of brushes to apply foundation and end up not liking the results. after seeing this i realize i was buffing way too hard or doing it too quickly, ending up with crappy flaky results. lately ive been using my fingers and thats worked a ton better. but after seeing this i think i am going to try a flat brush next and take my time with it.
ummmm I've tried a lot of foundations but the relvon color stay works awesome! It is i 9 dollars where I am but it depends on the area and what deal you can find it at. I never found any other foundation that works that well....although watch out for the smell...it does smell strong.
I know I'm not her but I've heard good things about the rimmel "wake me up foundation", it has a light to medium coverage and is really cheap! Also the revlon colourstay is a great one especially for nights out, medium to full coverage but a bit pricier than the rimmel one! Hope this helps :)
Hmm....Did you see my first video talking about foundation and moisturise and how they have to match? You might want to check it out, because you sounds like you are doing everything else right :)
Actually acne is caused by bacteria which is built up or its genetic. Pushing makeup into the pores will usually not be a main cause of acne unless its genetic. Its what you use to to do so. Unclean brushes or dirty tools. I took pathology and i am a cosmetologist.
Hi Sinead, great tips! I'm really curious how to manage or avoid the cakey look when powdering and when the product seems to 'disintegrate' after a few hours? Thanks so much!
what are the main differences between a flat top kabuki & a duo fibre brush cuz i don't really see them :D I have combination skin with lots of blemishes so which brush would you recommend? :) thx a lot for your great videos, i love all of them :)
I feel like I have to go through so many videos to get what I'm looking for but you help me get all my informations all in one video!! Thanks so much!
this was very very very helpful!! i always had problem with flakes now i know why!
The best method for a flawless look for me is fingers, I spent so much on different brushes then tried just using my fingers when one of my friends recommended it and I love it! It works really, especially around the eyes and gives me a full coverage

Yay! Glad it helps, I have flakes some times too and its sooooo annoying so I feel your pain!
Hey! You lived Ireland like me right? When I get flaky skin I use Bourjois 10 hour sleep effect, I apply it with my finger tips and light pat it in, it keeps the skin really dewy and natural looking x
You want to use a moisturiser in a cream form, it heavier and richer. When picking a foundation you would try a BB cream or a dewy foundation :)
I dunno if you saw you favourite foundation for your skin type but you might wanna check it out :) I have to say I love Loreal True Match or for a little lighter coverage Garnier BB cream for combo/oily skin not the dry, one the dry one is terrible :)
Kindof but I would use the flat top kabuki brushes instead of the duo fibres because it takes a lot work to get an amazing finish! :)
So happy you like them, Loreal True Match is actually becoming my favourite they have yellow, pink and neutral tones and I love the texture and coverage :)
I've been looking for a video like this for the longest thanks
Good tips there, I've apply my moisturise with it first and it totally softens it up but I have never used it damp gonna try it x
You absolutely have the most useful make-up tutorials EVER!!!! Your tutorials make sense! Kudos!
I like that you don't knock any of the methods, so many youtubers say you shouldn't use your fingers or this brush or that brush, and you actually talk about when and why you can use each method!
i have the f22 round top kabuki and absolutely love it for doing my foundation, blends everything so well
I really love how you have been focusing so much on foundation lately! I think it's one of those things that people tend to just guess at when it could really make a worlds difference when done right! Thanks for teaching us!
Me too!! I hope I don't leave anything out I really wanna cover everything x
could you maybe do a video to avoid the flakiness on the skin please? :) thank you!!!
I didn't know that there are different ways to apply foundation with different directions and whatnot for different reasons. I only learned this year. I thought it's okay as long as it's put in the face. Such a simpleton! XD

You don't know how helpful these videos are for someone who really likes make-up but has no idea how exactly it should be used :D
This was a perfect description of each brush...really good to know

You know what - im a training makeup artist and I love just learning more from you! I like how you are organizing your vids- for eye colour- or foundation I think Its sweet :)
Thank you!! I didn't know that circular motions can actually exfoliate the skin. ^_~ it really helps!!
They have them in Tralee Ch Chemist but you can also buy them online from an Irish website I put the link in the down bar :)
Oh no I mean scrubbing when you apply foundation is bad, if you are cleaning your skin feel free to exfoliate but that's not what we were talking about :) If you rub your foundation in it can irritate the skin and the foundation wont sit well on the skin.
Really glad it helped!
Use a lighter foundation or concealer first then apply your foundation over the top but be very careful not to over apply in the area :)
Guess you might have missed the video on that, in my last video I talked about that.

Hi Sinead, great tips! I'm really curious how to manage or avoid the cakey look when powdering and when the product seems to 'disintegrate' after a few hours? Thanks so much!
Very helpful. I've been wondering about those sponged for a while now
I like to use my finger tips and then softly go over it with a sponge to finish it off but that's optional :)
