Are You Confident or Overconfident? | Dr. Meghana Dikshit

Today I want to explore a crucial distinction: are you confident or overconfident? Let's dive in with an example from the Mahabharata.
Before the Kurukshetra war, both Duryodhana and Arjuna approached Krishna for his support. Duryodhana, blinded by power and overconfidence, believed he was guaranteed to win with Krishna's army, even though Krishna himself wouldn’t fight.
Was Duryodhana confident or overconfident?
He suffered from overconfidence bias-the tendency to overestimate one's abilities without justification. Despite knowing Krishna was divine, he chose the army over Krishna, showing his overconfidence and disregard for moral considerations.
Confidence comes from genuine experience and a willingness to learn and adapt. It drives you to take healthy risks and continuously upgrade your skills.
Overconfidence, however, stems from a place of complacency and ego, leading to impulsiveness and stubbornness.
Are you confident, believing in your abilities while remaining open to growth, or are you overconfident, assuming you know it all? Assess yourself on these parameters to ensure you're fostering true confidence rather than falling into the trap of overconfidence.

Mam मैने आपका एक साल पुराना video अभी अभी देखा , उस video को देखने के बाद मुझे ऐसा लगा की जिस addiction और इसके body में reactions ko समझ और दूर नहीं कर पाया ,उसको मैं केवल इसी video से समझ गया और practically उसको दूर करने पर काम कर रहा हूं । मैं आपको बता नहीं सकता कि मेरे life की कितनी बड़ी problem केवल उस एक video से solve हुई। मेरा intrest पहले से psychology और neuroscience में था लेकिन उस एक video से और बढ़ गया। मैं वादा करता हूं कि एक दिन मैं भी neuroscience या psychology के field में phd करूंगा और खुद जो भी अनुभव किया है life को लेकर और जो कुछ भी सीखा हूं या सीखूंगा वो सब कुछ दूसरों को बिलकुल free में दूंगा।
