    Another great roadtrip finished. All the different places, all the towns and countryside made a lovely scenic drive. Goat Island is a wonderful serene spot. Loved it so much and look forward to the next adventure.

    No place like home..no place like home. Nomads don’t experience the best of both worlds. Love the idea of coming home after an extended time away. Nothing like it. Enjoyed your video much

    Nicole, thank you so much for an AWESOME adventure!! I am sad, again, that it has ended . . . . for now . . . . you deserve a break from adventuring😂!! However, through your adventures, it has inspired me to shift to a different form of camping. I presently have a . . . Class C rv. I am not quite happy with it, but that’s another story. I yearn to do as you do . . . . a rv can be cumbersome and being that I do not tow a vehicle, makes it hard for me to visit those small and quaint places. I’m a campground girl, not much for boondocking (I do have the Boondockers Welcome subscription), so leaving the campground can be problematic. I decided to outfit my 2018 Honda CR-V for car camping with a tailgate tent and plan to go discovering the midwest in 2023. Again, thank you for the inspiration. I do hope there’s another adventure on the horizon. I can’t wait!!❤

    • @nicolewise
      @nicolewise  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      That is such a great idea!!! I definitely would consider traveling in an SUV myself.

      Thank you so much. I do belong to a camping club. We camp with our rvs every month. I will continue to camp with them, using my rv . . . . However, car camping combines both worlds with easy mobility and camping. I have everything needed for car camping, based on TH-cam videos of car campers I’ve watch (it seems like hundreds!). My plans are to test car camping the rest of this year, then break out, hopefully with confidence, the early part of 2023. Wish me luck!! Oh, I would make a poor TH-cam video maker . . . . I would be too busy camping, forgetting to record!!😂

    Nicole, I really enjoy your videos. They are so well made, including the music. I feel like I took the trip with you. I'm also impressed with your "just do it" attitude. Other people (including me) would be intimidated with the thought of doing the kind of trips you do. But you get out there and do it. Keep up the good work!

    This trip seemed to fly by faster than the last. I wonder if it went by more quickly for you as well? Also, for all the work I've done repairing minor scratches and boo boos on the outside of my van, receiving a dent in the side from an aggressive goat (head-butt or kick, either one) would be a great souvenir, haha.

    • @nicolewise
      @nicolewise  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Haha! You wouldn’t get your souvenir! They are too gentle. And yes this trip felt fast and different in a lot of ways. I also filmed less and made fewer videos.

    I got a question. I just completed a no-build camper set up of my 2023 Ford Transit Connect Cargo. How do you keep condensation from becoming an issue? I was doing a test camp of my set up in my driveway and I have privacy curtains behind the driver and passenger side windows like you do... and I have rain guards installed and the windows rolled down but I was getting condensation on my ceiling. It was about 55 degrees for the overnight temperature.

    • @nicolewise
      @nicolewise  ปีที่แล้ว

      I don’t. It’s an issue in cold temps. I never sleep with any windows rolled down and I do at times get condensation. That does not happen frequently but does happen.

    • @cricket2734
      @cricket2734 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@nicolewise Yes I wondering about that... was the condensation I was having due to me breathing out water vapor or the fact that I had opened the windows... I guess I am going to have to experiment. BTW, what's the coldest temperature in your van you have been in and where was it?

    • @nicolewise
      @nicolewise  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@cricket2734 I would think having the windows open would actually help. My coldest overnight temperature was 37° in Wyoming. It was way too cold for me. But I am a Florida girl. I have had many overnights in the 40s. But I much prefer overnights in the 50s and daytime temperatures in the 70s. That’s what I’m always aiming for. It doesn’t always happen.

    • @cricket2734
      @cricket2734 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@nicolewise Hi Nicole. I guess I am going to have to do some more experimenting. BTW, do you use a fan or anything? I have heard that can help too. I need to get a jackery or something to power it though. Also, like you, I am planning to do part-time camping. In my case it will mostly be during the fall and spring months. If it gets any colder than 40 degrees at night during the autumn, I will wait until spring, lol.

    • @nicolewise
      @nicolewise  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@cricket2734 yes I have 2 fans and a pretty large power station. I don’t sleep with fans on when it’s cold though….but I probably should have them on and pointed away from me to help with condensation.
