- Bulgaria Tuesday signed a long-term gas deal with Turkey. Under the new 13-year agreement, Bulgargaz would be able to use Turkey's LNG terminals for cargo shipments, and 1.5 billion cubic meters of natural gas per year will be transferred. Bulgaria was almost fully dependent on Russian gas, but is seeking alternatives after Moscow cut off deliveries in April over Sofia's refusal to pay in roubles.
Germany is also looking for new suppliers since Russia's gas cut. First tanker with US gas arrives in new German LNG terminal on the very same day. The shipment arrived at the LNG import terminal in the port town of Wilhelmshaven on the North Sea, built at a breakneck speed in less than a year to help Germany's energy crunch.

Of course, at the end it’s always Russian gas rerouting before reaching Germany and…. Germany ends up paying 5x or even more, the govt does a good job I guess?
