This rheumatologist is kind of good, I wanna be just like him, I like how he does his examination, remembering all that is not easy. SALUTE you doc.
I’ve had three Rheumatologists... they have NEVER given me a proper exam like this. American doctors are losing the art of medicine by depending on tests almost exclusively and anything that falls OUTSIDE those parameters must be Fibromyalgia 😑

It's most likely not the doctors fault. Governmental regulations and insurance companies bullshit have fucked the American medical system into a coma.
American doctors don’t seem to be interested in their job. Seem to be annoyed doing it. They interact with patients like soulless robots preferring to interact with the computer than with the patient.
I've had this exam (more or less) several times, by two different docs. Seems like it takes forever...but there's a lot to check. (Arthritis everywhere, but not rheumatoid.)

Awesome video. I now know I've got serious problems as I can't execute many of these tests - I suspected that from PT videos which first alerted me to these issues. I've got serious back problems arising from stenosis, arthritis, and a rotator cuff which was injured 15 years ago. Not to mention a sedentary lifestyle of bad posture which has left my muscles weak and inflexible. At least in my first telemedicine (due to pandemic) appointment I can give the Rheumatologist a heads up on these issues. One thing about this video - it suggests checking for things outside of the rheumatological scope like mechanical problems that have no rheumatological causes. For example inguinal hernia which is just structural damage. Why would a rheumatologist be interested in that? Just checking for completeness since the whole body is being checked anyway?
On Nov 5 I have appointment in rheumatology so many things that I know I can't do it 🙁

It's nice to see a rheumatologist do their job. Unfortunately, the one I had for my 9 yrs old seemed uninterested and didn't feel the need to go the extra mile ...She only did two things out of this whole demonstration.
I was saying the same thing. Most doctors don't even spend this much time with the patient.
The purpose of this video is to teach medical students and new doctors in how to do ALL rheumatology examination. Probably the ones your doc skipped wasn't necessary to determine your child problem.
@@gustavomorais9979 I thought similar: of course they do a demo as it should be done, haha ! Bad is how theyn don't do theirt duty to help the pat to get the help they need, and how they can burden unnecessarily more by blaming pat for their own flaws, and even lie in journal and thus prevent one from getting help elsewhere...Good exam is no help in itself; it depends how it is then used for the pat.
Maybe they only texted the effected areas?

Terrific full exam! I just wanted to see someone who actually, at medium, have pain vs a participant aka model.
SN: we only have 2 Rheumatologist in this area of So Cali. Zero Endometriosis specialist. We need healing.

i have agoraphobia i cannot go to this appt the damm hosp is 40 mile away. my nerves is gone over this.
GP can do it, if they know how or care to freshen up their knowledge. My physiotherapist did it. He was specialized in Orthomanual T. But never helped to get the needed stress treatment, just let me come here for 10-15 years, helping for the time being but not with cure or telling how serius it really is. Watch them for short-cuts and laziness, don't be charmed by superficial warmth, kindness, care. like I have for decades. Hope u don't have Aspergers.

please when you are trying to test the hand movement don't force the movement on the patient to negate any unnecessary injury, and let the patient move on their own with an guidance from the doctor in charge.

Unless you are in the USA. Your doctor will only look at you labs and ignore you.
@@donnadavis235 we know what fibromyalgia is. It’s when the doctor is has no empathy and is too lazy to keep looking for what’s wrong. He/she prefers to flatter themselves with the belief that you have no life and enjoy coming to see them.
