Ay I had exactly the same issue and I fixed it - I literally just pulled my TV apart as the video shows, took out the T CON card, it looked alright so I plugged it back in, made sure all connections were alright, and now the TV works!
I have a similar experience with Sony KDL-70W850B - after replacing the T-CON board (RUNTK 5475TP 0106FV) and get the alternating Orange and Green LED lights. I attempted to update the firmware (sony_dtv0FA40A06A0A6_00003301) but it doesn't seem to do anything. I have a USB device that lights up when connected, I see that USB light turn on but I also noticed your video shows the TV USB indicator light blinking when reading from the drive - mine does NOT do this. If I do the factory reset (Power - Volume Down), I see the double-arrow-circle image on the TV along with a continuous Blue LED light. The image on the TV disappears after 30 seconds but the the Blue LED light stays on forever with no picture.
Hi I have a Xbr-75x850c I’ve replace the main board twice and still no dice also did the software as well and nothing I do get the green and orange light to with some soft music playing do you really think it can be the tcon board that doesn’t match my main board or my tcon failed

I have a XBR55X900F with the picture freezing after about 5 minutes of use. Tried restarting it, and pressing power button from tv but will not turn off. I have to disconnect from power outlet for it to turn off but when it turns back on it freezes again. Was wondering if replacing the T Com part would fix this issue?
This video showing the t-conn board replacement. Thanks! I'm curious how you came across the blow dryer or oven to reflow solder... I had thought that you'd need to melt the cable connectors to get it hot enough to reflow the solder. Do either of those actually work?
I've looked at the SONY chatboard there are many that have the same issue they suspect SONY has a problem with these mine is the 75x800 but it's very similar to the 65 it just went bad after about 2 and a half years
Hi Edward, I have a Sony XBR-49X800E... and have the same problem you had with your XBR-65X900E. I ordered and replaced the T-CON card... but it did not work. My P/N is 6870C-0704A Halogen Free (Sticker with barcode 49 6871L - 4922AGRBERG3371) and replacement board P/N is the same but the Sticker with barcode is 49 6871L - 4922AGRBF1GD158. Do you have any suggestions.
I repaired mine, but now my lights are flashing green/orange. Screen is non functional atm due to the flashing. I plugged in a usb with a bin file to update the firmware but nothing… the firmware was taken off the sony site
The only place I seen to be able to get a matching Tcon board is from China. I have gone through three of them and each has presented a different problem but none of them work. I am getting a little paranoid about having to ask to return another board as they always argue and in the end give me a refund but tell me to keep the useless card. Is there a source in America where I can get a new tested card and not a used one or I hear that there may be some updated cards for Sony Bravia 3D but I have been out of the business far too long to even know where to look..

Hello I was getting the 4 blinking red light on my XBR65X900C and the TV would turn on and then go off. There is a temp fix by grounding the BL-ERR. That worked however now my screen has a black wave across the screen the backlight going on and off. What exactly do I need to replace to resolve this issue. Thanks in advance.
Hey I repair tvs and its a backlight issue if you plug it in and turn it on (lights off of the room) that quick second it turns on you'll see one spot of the tv darker meaning bad led light
Hi, we have the 55 inch x800c and the picture is really dark. No matter what the input is. Everything is dark. Even on vivid. Seems kinda blueish tint almost. But everything is hard to see. Like reading in a poorly lit room.

I have a Sony XBR-65X850A. Black screen with backlight on. The bottom logo flashes when remote is pressed. However, I put in a new T-Con board and did not fix the issue. The t-con board numbers matched. I heard you said buy another t-con board but I’m afraid it might not be the solution. Anymore suggestions?
It is a shame that you updated the firmware with the first t-con board. I've just put in my matched t con board and I'm up to the firmware update step. Wish me luck!
Thanks Edward. I had the same exact symptom, so was optimistic that the t-con board replacement would work. But unfortunately it didn't...and I didn't have any visual signs of it being damaged like the one you showed. Regardless, I tried it, and it came on the exact same way with the light backlight. So my next step is to change the main board. Couple of questions....do you think I need to do the firmware update for the new tcon board to work? Also, if I understood correctly, the reason the first tcon board replacement for you didn't work was probably because that replacement one was defective, correct?

Suddenly my bravia got no picture 'after scene has been changed' from my ps4 pro but when I launched youtube or any I can watch, the picture is there 100%..do you think ps4 is the problem for that situation? But the thing is also the led indicator is in white and it should be fine.

@@EdwardInTX Thank you very much, because when Sony tv is on latest firmware, with monitor and tcon there is no problem. It will not be able to be updated again without an error. Or cannot downgrade to older firmware. So I don't buy a genuine new t-con of that modem. Because I think if it can't update the firmware again, it won't have the picture and blink the led lights like you. I asked a lot of online sellers and repairmen, they all didn't know about this problem. They are also not sure what I ask.
@@EdwardInTX I just broke a 43w800C t-con yesterday, that's bad luck. And another 43x8000D has been replaced with equivalent tcon. Without sony logo, problematic light sensor, Google Protect certification "device not certified" when replaced with a corresponding non-genuine t-con. 8000E instead of 8000D 😥.
@@EdwardInTX In the video, after buying the second T-Con do you have to run the firmware again. Or you just install it to work immediately without running the firmware again.
I have a XBR65900F with similar issues after one of my kids smashed a large lego block against the screen. I don't have any picture but can see the backlight faintly on the screen when powered up also. I do see two spider crack circles where the legos hit. I'm assuming I need to replace the LED backlight strips but would I need to replace the board also?
@@EdwardInTX maybe i will just buy a new tcon board i found one that cost only cheap. and will check that issue as soon i change it. is there a firmware installation for new tcon's or it is already installed?
@@stephenmarsee1881 You literally did NOT watch the vid where the guy made several unsuccessful attempts and lots of time at fixing it and had to order multiple parts to keep trying to fix the issue, but go ahead and pop off yourself.

T-con sometimes need swap the bios from old t-com. latest sony that i repaired ,only stop the blinking error code after swap bios on t-con

Spots may be due to the uneven positioning of the LED strips. That would be unrelated to this video.

That’s an LED problem. Replace the LED strips

I just bought a new x80h and it had the same symptoms after a week of use. Never expected to have this issue so quick on a Sony TV.
Mine died after a year. Frustrating.

I don't think you need the firmware update. I think the first replacement was defective, as the second one worked perfectly. Hope you can fix it!

Bluish tint is an LED strip problem. Gotta replace the LEDs.

Sounds like the ps4. See if you can soft reset the ps4 to have it display a lower resolution image. Should come back

The whole panel is busted in that case. That's a panel problem, which is much more expensive to replace.

That is possible, like if you have half screen or full screen of vertical lines. Might even be the ribbon between main and tcon.
