I'm several years late but this makeup routine blows my mind. I'm a perfectionist and in the past have spent 20+ minutes on my makeup, and it always feels like such a chore. I've managed to get my routine down to 10 minutes for just an everyday polished look I'm happy with, which is amazing in itself, but getting it down to 5 minutes is my goal.
Dominique, a friend introduced me to you because I was preparing for a speaking engagement and had no idea how to use makeup. I so appreciate your candor, positive outlook and beautiful spirit. If I feel a bit down, I watch you so I can get inspired :)

I love this! I get up early and I try to get every bit of rest possible.
For me- moisturizer, corrector here and there, the eyebrow, lashes (mine are blonde naturally so I use a soft black on the top lashes), bronze and/or a peachy blush, a soft gloss. I didn’t use liner on my eyes but I do like a small amount of shadow.

You know what? This is my every day "full-on" makeup and I'm glad that you value and acknowledge this simplistic style that many of us wear on a day to day basis (instead of the full on Instagram looks) and more often than not bring out the best in us and let us shine without looking too overdone. Btw. this simple makeup look would also pass as a typical french-style makeup. ;)

Here in the Houston area, we've watched Dominique Sachse for about twenty years if I remember correctly - dating back to those blouses with huge bows. She is always charming and real and what shines about her is her giving, compassionate nature. She's kind of a local treasure.
I love her make up tips. I'm about the same age, so I know if I incorporate eyeshadow or contour she recommends, I'm not going to look too old for it! Everything is reasonably priced and she shows you exactly how to apply it. She's helped me with things I wasn't familiar with. (I hate you, false eyelashes but had to wear them in Puerto Vallarta.) Sigh, okay gripe over. Keep up the great videos please and thank you, Dominique.
Truth in advertising! I love that you timed it. It bugs me to see tutorials that claim to get you "out-the-door" in 10 minutes, but start with their skincare, primer and foundation already applied and THEN still take at least 15 minutes to complete their look.

Dominique Sachse any tips on doing liquid liner? I do a horrible job with it and it ends up all thick or on my eyeball. Also, which of the colors did you use for under eye? I need way more bag coverage as I was born with dark shiners.

I really love this look! I too do minimal make-up usually consisting of filling in brows, curling my lashes and applying a little mascara and a tinted lip balm; some days I might do a very light application of foundation and add blush. At 62, I have found that less is definitely more for me!
For my small eyes, I would use some of the bronzer as a quick eyeshadow, too.
Love this! 💕 This is pretty much my out-the-door work look with a colouring in of either a Bobbi Brown or Nars creme eyeshadow stick. Foolproof and easily blended in 3-5 seconds! I am no good with bronzer but a blush works well. Thankfully I don’t have to see clients, patients or customers but I do look polished enough for the office. Weekends I am always make-up free.

You look lovely and polished Dominique! It helps that you your hair looks great too! I find that as long as my hair looks clean and freshly styled I can do a very minimalist makeup look too! Also, I think that details such as a perfect manicure mean you can go easy on makeup at the weekends and still feel pulled together in your overall look.

I do a very similar basic make-up routine for my work day Dominique. I agree, feeling a little more polished but still "authentic" is the key for me. I can't leave the house without earrings! that makes me feel my best with the simple 2min routine. Great video. Love you back in the bathroom. I am retired & like the idea of a simple look. I never tried the It Cosmetics powder, I just use their Color Correcting with the spf foundation. Might give it a try. Hopefully it doesn't look drying because I have dry skin.

.Would you give us some clothing style tips for those of us who don't want to live in sweats, torn jeans, minskirts, or many of the "trends" geared for the teens or young women the age of my daughters?. There is nothing wrong with looking youthful, yet tasteful. I have seen some of your clothing and find that you dress classy and look like a lady, I admire your sense of style and am aware that dressing for the occasion is important.
Business casual, business attire that is a notch above the "casual", and of course the Saturdays for errands or just enjoying the weekend, are the occasions I am interested in along with so many others in my age range that are being faced with looking fresh and stylish without looking like we are attempting to look 20 again! Thank you for your time in making these awesome videos!

Hi Dominque, please consider a video on how to determine the correct color palette for an individual. So you’ve given us the how to apply makeup instructions, what brushes to use, lotions and potions; my biggest challenge is what colors to use together that best highlight my skin tone, etc. Thank you!

I enjoyed this video!! My mom taught me when I was a teen that even if you are just home for the day to put on a pair of jeans and a cute tee and add a little makeup to feel alive! I always put on a little concealer on blemishes and under the eyes, some blush, cream eye shadow, and mascara. It takes me only about 10 minutes and it just gives me some extra pep, even if I am just home with the kids that day! 😀

ladbug889 Me either. I've taken to doing the waterline only. Trying to do how I like an eyeliner, which is a thin line, is impossible anymore. I've never tried liquid because I don't want to wash my face after trying....ha

I think the secret is in the way she did the eyeliner. I noted she does thin, short strokes, the first one starting about a third of the way; then two or three more, beginning each stroke closer and closer to the inner corner, each stroke end overlapapping the starting point of the previous one.
Wow, I’m going to try this out tomorrow. It usually takes me about 15-20 min to look half decent..(lol). I’m excited, thank you for the video ☺️

I'm a Teacher, NOT a morning person and have to get up at 5:30 am, so I don't have the time for full on make up. I just turned 54 and noticed the bags and black circles under my eyes are getting really bad. I decided I finally need to start wearing a little makeup to keep me looking fresh. The most I ever wear is mascara and under eye cover up. I was searching for an easy everyday kinda look, and you nailed it! Thank you for a beautifully done video and the product suggestions!

Eyeshadow is wonderful but if you have no time for it u can use some brown eyeshadow on the crease. Eyeshadow was ignored for sometime and now it is back.
I absolutely adore you! I came across your channel today and I can't stop watching. It is such a breath of fresh air to see such a graceful, professional woman on TH-cam. I love this minimal makeup look and will be putting this to use. Currently, I am off of work due to being 36 weeks pregnant (woohoo!) My first time seeing this woman. Firstly, she is absolutely beautiful. In my opinion, she looks perfectly fine and even perfectly professional without make-up. In fact, I have some doubt that she was even really completely without at the start. She kind of looks like my mother, who is also very beautiful and a professional and has worn make-up her entire adult life. So, I think if you wear it nearly daily for so many years, when you wash your face, you kind of really never look like you're not wearing any make-up. Also, I think it's those "freckles" that make a person unique and i see no reason to have to "connect the dots." I actually feel sad that we women have been so conditioned by society to think we aren't pretty enough in our natural state, or even that being "pretty" is a requirement for being in the work force or attracting a mate. But, I guess that's all a 'whole 'nother story,' as they say.
On the make-up part and lips, I just want to say a personal pet peeve of mine is shiny lips. Ugh. I find it so distracting and actually kind of gross. And this lady with her gorgeous full lips ... the very LAST thing she should be putting on them is something shiny. Takes her lips right off her face and little else can be noticed. MY opinion only, and I'm just a no-make-up wearing mature lady. Though, I do wear a slight bit of mascara (and i really mean slight; just on the tips of the lashes) because I perform on stage and eyes do not come out on camera at a distance without a little help.

Something I love to do is to save myself a bit of time by using the same color of blush on my cheeks and as eyeshadow or using a bronzer as eyeshadow also!
