    I can highly recommend Chiropractors. I got what turned out to be Sciatica, went to the doctors, got prescribed painkillers etc etc, fine until they wore off but it didn't fix the problem so after watching a few of these vids I found a Chiropractor in my area (just down the road actually) and went to see him. Within two weeks No More Sciatica. I felt a bit awkward with some of the positions you have to be in for them to do the work but hey, It Worked. I'm almost 50 and that was the first time in my life i've ever visited a Chiropractor. Hopefully it won't happen again but if I get any other neck or back problems, i'll certainly be going to the Chiropractor before I visit the doctor.

    Sometimes when I move there is a pop in my ribs. Is there an adjustment for that? And what about tightness in the muscles to the right of the spine?

    • @NikeSoccerTennis
      @NikeSoccerTennis 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      +annbrough you should workout your core

    I wonder if this helps with neck pain or if my pain is more muscular related?

      A certified sports chiropractor (CCSP or DACBSP) will address both!

    My sternum feels really tight and will pop if I move just right, is there an adjustment that will help with that?

    • @prochiropractic
      @prochiropractic  9 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      +BlazingGex Yes, there are adjustments to address the sternoclavicular (SC) joints, as well as the anterior ribs. This is a great idea for another video. Stay tuned!!

    • @NikeSoccerTennis
      @NikeSoccerTennis 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      +noah kirk try buying a foam roller or something lol, do yoga for lower back pain, workout your abs!

    • @prochiropractic
      @prochiropractic  9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      thanks for the question. for uncomplicated low back pain there are many things you can do at home, including self myofascial release of the middle back and hips, like foam rolling for instance. Other generally good exercises are isometric low back holds into extension. However, each case is unique and you should contact your local certified sports chiropractor (CCSP) for the proper examination and diagnosis.

    I herd that chiropractic adjustments mess up your spine is this true?

    • @prochiropractic
      @prochiropractic  9 ปีที่แล้ว +12

      Thank you for this question. Like any medical treatment, Adjustments/Manipulations when applied properly, by a trained and licensed chiropractic physician are quite safe, and can be a tremendous benefit to your spine and overall health. Manipulations should NOT be performed by anyone without extensive training, because of the precise nature of these movements.

    Looks like it hurts, I was squirming the whole time. But I need this

    • @DarkFilmDirector
      @DarkFilmDirector 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +4jr909 It doesn't hurt at all. The only time it ever hurts is if you've pulled a muscle in your back or neck and it's really tense or inflamed. But that's the muscle that hurts. The joints shifting and popping feel like tension suddenly unwinding and it feels very soothing.

    Did you say DOCTOR ????? mmmmmm

    • @prochiropractic
      @prochiropractic  9 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      +thames Ranger Absolutely and proudly I did! Here is a little information you could find useful:
      Doctors of Chiropractic receive extensive, demanding professional education on par with medical doctors (MDs) and osteopaths (DOs).
      To receive the doctor of chiropractic degree, candidates must complete extensive undergraduate prerequisites and four years of graduate-level instruction and internship at an accredited chiropractic institution. Comprehensive knowledge of all systems of the body and diagnostic procedures enable the DC to thoroughly evaluate a patient, address disorders relating to the spine and determine the need for referral to another health care provider.
      Doctors of Chiropractic are primary health care providers.
      According to the Center for Studies in Health Policy, "The DC can provide all three levels of primary care interventions and therefore is a primary care provider, as are MDs and DOs. The doctor of chiropractic is a gatekeeper to the health care system and an independent practitioner who provides primary care services. The DC's office is a direct access portal of entry to the full scope of service."
      Doctors of Chiropractic are licensed in all 50 states. DCs have been licensed and recognized for many decades in all states, the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico.
      Chiropractic is recognized by governmental health care programs. Chiropractic is included in Medicare, Medicaid, Federal Employees Health Care Benefits Programs, Federal Workers' Compensation and all state workers' compensation programs. Chiropractic students are qualified to receive federal student loan assistance and DCs are authorized to be commissioned as health care officers in the U.S. Armed Forces.
