Nathan's mom explained why he's immortal in one of the first episodes, when she said "it's like nothing can hurt you" or something to that effect. Nothing other people do has an effect on him. You can see that on the way he dismisses his treatment of Simon as just "screwing around". He doesn't see harm in it because, if it happened to him, he wouldn't be affected at all, even though Simon is deeply hurt by it.
Neat. I somehow always saw it more like, since he's such a prick, it's only a matter of time before someone actually kills him, so here's a dash of immortality to help out.
Also when kurtis goes back in time to save his gf who’s in prison, when everyone else died because he wasn’t there, Nathan is still alive and he says it’s a miracle that he wasn’t killed, foreshadowing his power
The worse thing about being immortal and being trapped in a coffin underground is that you'd die of thirst which would be horrendously slow and painful, or else you'd suffocate to death, which would be quicker, but also a pretty horrid way to die. Then you're regenerated and have to go through it again, and again and again. That said, wouldn't the oxygen be depleted after the first death? So you'd wake up and instantly suffocate to death over and over. OMG, don't want this power. 😮 Edit: just Googled it; apparently you have around 5.5 hours of oxygen if burried alive. So yeah, there'd be no time to die of thirst, he'd just wake up and suffocate over and over. 😬
Iam guessing you won't regenerat untill you receive oxygen bit like in heroes when Claire took a pike to the head and nothing happened untill the pike was removed
That deaths a piece of cake in one episode of Torchwood Jack was buried under the foundations of his City for at least a couple of centuries no coughing just choking on dirt every time he comes back
Because of his injuries, Nathan’s body took a long time to heal and resurrect, that’s why it took him a few days to come back. When he has smaller injuries he resurrects much quicker. Oh, and Simon didn’t push Rachel off the roof, she just fell.
don't know what you watched this episode through, but in the original, the music is completely different to this one, like the songs they walk out with
I love this show so much, but without wanting to say too much, there's actually a mistake in terms of the scars we saw on Nathan's face from episode 3, when he supposedly survived the attack from the rabid probation worker. Great reaction guys. 👍
Did you guys know that if Simon didint go back in time then Nathan would still be in his coffin, Curtis would die to the shapeshifter and Alisha would get shot from the GTA guy,, Edit: also everyone left would die from the Tatto guy because Simon (Future) gave them the nuts
@@Times6ix They were good actually. People were bitter about losing the original cast but the quality of the show remained, and there were some really good episodes in the last two seasons.
@@jaykay1888 yeah i think Joe Gilgun did justice to his character. But seasons 1 and 2 are the best. They are the most Thought out scripts and story plots. Also i think the Irish guy started starring in movies so i guess he wanted to do something different before the character became too unrealistic

since there powers are based on personality, nathan thinks hes untouchable, kurtis wishes he could change his past, etc
Except he is effected on the inside, it’s just very repressed. Repressing everything is how he survives.

His power is that he comes back to life, not heal? He does heal, but only AFTER he dies. Not so much immortality, more like resurrection. 😑
