The fact that Thailand has won and lost so many wars now is shocking from the Burmese-Siamese wars to the Vietnamese-Siamese wars even civil wars that's crazy
In fact, the area of present-day Thailand never had the Khmer Empire. If you study the history of this area, you will find that there was an attempt to insert the Khmer Empire into this area only a few decades ago. If you find an area that is identified as the Khmer Empire in this area, you can assume that it is history that has been distorted for some gain, such as Attempts to claim territory from the colonial era Or an attempt to claim rights to the culture of Thailand from a group of people who try to say that they are of Khmer descent. The real Khmers who inhabited Siam from the past actually lived in the northeastern region of present-day Thailand. In the past, Siamese people would call them "Khom", referring to the various ethnic groups that lived together in this area. But now there are people who are trying to erase the word "Khom" from history and trying to create a new meaning of this word to have the meaning of "Khmer" or "Ancient Khmer" and a group of people that Siamese people call They say that "Khom" was also the creator of the Khom empire, including Angkor Wat, before the revolutionary slave leaders seized power and claimed their own group as being of the Khom lineage. Which was distorted to change the meaning to become modern Khmer. in history as discovered and confirmed by definite evidence From the Dvaravati Kingdom to the Lavo Kingdom, it was ruled by the Mon people. And some culture was received from the Khom people, but not all. Overall, the culture of the Khom people is a culture that was inherited from southern Indians who immigrated to this area. This is the reason why people who call themselves Khmer today do not have a truly tangible cultural inheritance. And there are attempts to claim Thai culture as their own just because they don't know what culture means.
@@champaputih4568 In fact The rule of the people who called themselves the Khmers lasted only about five years. By seizing power from the King of the Varman Dynasty, who was descended from the ruler of the Chenla Kingdom. Therefore, that place could not be called a kingdom because of its short reign. and the ruler does not inherit blood from the previous ruler. And it was also a rebellion to take over the kingdom. Therefore, it cannot be truly called the Khmer Empire. However, a group of people tried to include the descendants of King Chenla as Khmer in order to claim their land as Khmer. But in reality, the Varman dynasty was of South Indian descent, not Khmer, from the beginning.
@@l2hapsodyInBlue The term of Varman it was a Hinduism influenced, but not the Idnians. All the ancient Kingdoms of Southeast Asia like Champa, Srivijaya and Khmer used the term of Varman. You might misunderstanding, the real name of the rulers Started with Sri and ending with the Deva. All ancient SEA kingdoms never claimed themselves as the Idians. So the marjority of Thai are Buddhists, that means all Thai are Indians? The marjority Modern Indonesian are Muslims and used the Arabic names, Muhammad, Ali, Abdul so all the Indons are Arabs? And finally, Funan, Chenla, Angkorian are related to Khmeric people, Because they calimed themselves as the Khmers. Do you know the term of Khmer are mentioned too many times in Champa Kingdom and Srivijaya to refer or mention the people of Cambodian. During the Srivijaya kingdom invasion, the king himself (Jayavarman 2 the founder of Angkorian) used the term Khmer to mean the motherland. And the most powerful king of Angkorian Jayavaraman7 also claimed himself as the Khmerian in the Banteay Srei temple inscription. So as the official world they only used the Term Khmer to mean the civilization of Cambodia. There's nobody used Khom. Because Khom only mentioned the ruler of Lavo and finally druing the Ayuthaya Rattanakosin it meant the people of Cambodian.

Founded by King Uthong, Ayutthaya grew into a prosperous empire with significant trade and cultural exchanges. It was known for its impressive architecture and advanced administration. 1:29 the whole burmese-siamese war happen because of a white elephant.
WHAT? THAT DOESN’T MAKE SENSE!
@@jategis5123 well a long time ago in Southeast Asia the white elephant is seen as good luck, nobility, and etc. King Bayinnaung wanted two of these white elephants so he asked the king of siam, the king of siam said no, so King Bayinnaung declared war on Siam and ruled over it untill his death. They teach these in burmese school, I should know because I'm from Myanmar.
