In 1963 i went to a rehearsal for Ms Santa Clara with Adrienne as my date in San Jose. Our mothers were both teachers in the Pleasant Hill school district. She was stunning. Harold Hayes
My favorite Adrienne Barbeau t.v. show performance was in Sons Of Anarchy where she played an aging bitter mom/gramma that was gangster, it blew me away. Her performance was spot on. Love that she's from Sacramento, California too. ♥️
You are exactly right. I was a young teenager and saw Adrienne and had a lot of hot dreams about her in Maude. However, I was thrilled at see her in the movie The Fog. I remember her in Creep Show. I love seeing her in anything she plays in.
Recently had a sit-down with my parents just to ask them why they never told me these secrets about Adrienne Barbeau... gotta love the WTF is wrong with you looks that I get from questions like this.
that's funny. i asked my parents a lot of things but not one of them was about adrienne barbeau. the movie isn't called "cannonball woman," as the narrator said, but "Cannibal Women in the Avocado Jungle of Death." and he forgot to mention adrienne's role in the off-broadway play “Stag Movie” in which she appeared nude. the promotional stills from the play are GREAT! i've been in love (or is it lust?) with ms. barbeau for a long time now. i just think she's wonderful.
It's too hard to pick one thing by Miss Barbeau to call my favorite. Everything she did was GREAT and every project she did would only improve by her being involved in it. Truly a gifted performer and STAR.
I hated that Siskel and Ebert called her a terrible actress .... They were discussing that when reviewing Escape From New York .... Those guys were great fun to watch, but damn they sure could be absolutely wrong about things often.
My sister was on the staff of a small East Coast college when one day a woman wandered onto campus in a sort of trance state. Her most notable feature, apart from her vacant stare, was her straw like hair. She stayed for a couple of days and then disappeared. The dean then got a call, please hold for Al Capp, who said his daughter had visited the place an wanted to attend the college. When the dean figured out that the zombie visitor was in fact his daughter, they said that they didn't have facilities or staff to properly address the young woman's needs, but Al Cap offered all kinds of inducements, even offering to renovate or build a new building for the college, but the dean still said no. She was a very pathetic figure and I always judged Mr Capp very harshly as a result. Hearing of his harassment of Ms. Barbeau does not surprise me at all.
the movie isn't called "cannonball woman," as the narrator said, but "Cannibal Women in the Avocado Jungle of Death." and he forgot to mention adrienne's role in the off-broadway play “Stag Movie” in which she appeared nude. the promotional stills from the play are GREAT! i've been in love (or is it lust?) with ms. barbeau for a long time now. i just think she's wonderful. thanks for the video.
So why did you omit her performance in Pippin in the role of “Berthe” in 2015-2016? I was blessed in watching her perform from the view from the wings on stage. She has a beautiful soul!!!
Great star in many roles. My favorite television role was as Romulan Senator Cretak. In movies, I loved her small role in Argo, and her role in the original The Fog was very memorable, not only because it was good, but because I saw it on a date in high school. Also, my sons like that original version of The Fog. She was very funny in the Cannonball Run scene when the police officer turned out to be Valerie Perrine’s character. Yet, her character was incredibly loyal and hot in another John Carpenter film, Escape From New York. Her EFNY role probably my favorite role of hers.
Even though you had a still from the episode, you failed to mention her appearance in the Creepshow TV series. She was the town shopkeeper in the first story of the new series on Shudder in 2019. Her story is called Gray Matter.
My favorite Adrienne Barbeau roles were as the girlfriend of the man who became "Swamp Thing" and the voice of Selina Kyle / The Catwoman in "Batman: The Animated Series".
I have a memory of Adrienne participating in a Battle of the Network Stars-type show and Burt Reynolds did some of the commentating. She was playing in the football game and was on the line rushing the quarterback. There was an offsides call and Burt said: "Adrienne's always offsides!"
Original battle of network stars of the 1970s ; it the greatest tv show iafter 1970s battle of network stars went downhill like a fall 1980& afterward;she was a burt reynold movie too : she had her own sexy poster
She had me as a fan when I was just 10 years old. She has a charm about her that reached me a 10 year old. Not her beautiful body. However after seeing her in Swamp thing as a grown man I loved her body type. She is what I think is the perfect body for me. She is a amazingly great actor and Hollywood did miss out on a great talent. Still I have some great work from her on film. She is one of many people that Hollywood has not done right and we pay the price of not having great talent on film. There is people that are made superstars with no real talent. Hollywood is who you know just like any job. Thanks for putting this video out.
She didn't have a role as a 'grown man' in Wes Craven's version of the Swamp Thing. Her character name in that production was Alice Cable and the 2 reasons Wes cast her are quite obvious. Back in the debauchery days she was regular on the invite list for W/C's infamous 'pool parties' and Wesley affectionately nicknamed her "The Twins."
@@brandonbrook9664sorry about the bad writing I was sleepy and just mess up . I meant I like her as I grew to be a man. She was no way playing a man. She has a great body.
I used to see Adrienne pushing her grandchild's stroller around my neighborhood in Valley Village as I took my dogs Sharkey and Yar on their evening walks.
"Escape from New York" was mentioned only in quick passing, and a bunch of movies I'd never seen were credited to her. Not mentioned was an appearance on "Fantasy Island."
If I had to name a fave, Cannonball Run, was a huge all star cast, funny, & quite popular (Burt Reynolds & Dom Delouise... one of the early hilarious out takes reels). Also Escape from New York. But Maude was where I first recall her. Always very beautiful!

They would only “shoosh” me or say, “Now is really not a good time to talk to you about Adrien Barbeau”. I would always walk away in profound disappointment..............These titles are hilarious.

I'm a big Swamp Thing the movie fan. I was actually looking for that movie to buy on DVD/BluRay or streaming and couldn't find it. Might need to widen my search. Haven't seen it since I was young.
Funny but in the vid he says “she fell in love just once, to John Carpenter”. She was married to Billy Van Zandt for 24 years long after she divorced from John. Wonder how Billy would feel about that revealing statement. Anyway, loved this woman in anything she was in.
Any of you ever noticed that her face is almost a clone and identical to the face of the bobby brady character on the brady bunch? That boys face was just like looking at her
she still looks great and no ridiculous plastic surgery. Who ever does the surgery needs some help from a psychologist it doesnt make u look better it makes u look like some sort of cartoon character
the fog, swamp thing, and escape from new york are among my top favorites of hers but i like many of her movies and TV rolls . i always like her, she was and still is a beautiful women
I never had to hear about Adrienne Barbeau getting arrested, being on drugs, etc. Class act!
In 1963 i went to a rehearsal for Ms Santa Clara with Adrienne as my date in San Jose. Our mothers were both teachers in the Pleasant Hill school district. She was stunning. Harold Hayes
Lucky you... she was hot...
Nothing but Orchards back then.
Oh, I bet you did......Okey dokey.
Maude, she was excellent as her daughter Carol .
Most of her scenes were filmed walking, bouncing up and down the stairs 🤩
My favorite Adrienne Barbeau t.v. show performance was in Sons Of Anarchy where she played an aging bitter mom/gramma that was gangster, it blew me away. Her performance was spot on. Love that she's from Sacramento, California too. ♥️
Those were some shocking secrets!!! Next you’ll tell me she was well endowed.
Escape from New York, and Creepshow, are two of my favorite movies with her in them.
I dont feel like she ever got the roles or credit she deserved, its not her fault she gourgeous
Been in love with her for decades
Hard working actor. I admire her for not giving up her career.
She's one of 70s' sex symbols. Gorgeous woman. And a great actress. Wonderful in Maude. The Fog was excellent.
Not pretty
She's such a babe ... I've always been a little obsessed with her. It's a good thing I'm too lazy to ever be dangerous.

Swamp Thing , she was fantastic ..... Cannonball Run for the pure esthetics .. she was funny though .. pure sex.
I love Adrienne...she is one of my most favorites! She's pretty awesome!
She's either your favourite or she isn't.
She was great in The Fog. So attractive. Terrific soft alluring voice. Hey there mateys !! 🔥🔥
I'm 61 now and I just realized that Adrienne has a face!
LoL 😂
You finally grew up! 😂
But ain't they WONDERFUL 😜🙂🇬🇧💪👍💯🎬😍🤩😇
I'm 60 and can really see the sexist writing while rewatching Maude. I knew she was sex kitten but didn't really see it on show.
Escape From New York (1981), My Fav Adrienne Barbeau Movie.
Her work in the Fog, really gave Radio power. Like you wasn’t alone, you just had to tune your favorite station in.
The Fog was a great movie…and she played the part very well! Lovely and talented actress…👏👏👏
a great movie
