I heard Montsy live and met here in person after the show in her wardrobe. One of the most lovely person I ever met in my life! She was amazing and hear laughter is still ringing in my ears, 'cause - that was extremly loud and kind of painfull XD It's like 15 years ago, but I still hear her voice and honor the poster she signed for me - it's hanging in my house so I see it daily ... Amazing woman! And yeah to Fred: enough said - my hero since the age of 6 ^^+gg Very long time ago!!! :-)

This is so beautiful. I listen to the whole album every night as I drift off to dreamland. There is an equally beautiful song that leads into this one on the album, called Guide Me Home. Together they make a fabulous pair. So do the singers. It never ceases to astonish me, how their voices blend together in such a lovely way. This was all recorded in studios & never sung live. Freddie was uncertain about his voice and didn't feel confident about doing it on stage with the perfection he demanded of himself. This was after he was diagnosed with HIV. But it looks like they had a fun time with the miming that freed them up to do all the dramatic gestures. I think that is what Montserrat was reacting to when it looks like she's thinking, "Freddie, what are you doing?" I just love this performance, and I thank you for reacting to it.

Watching your eyes watching them sing to each other forced me to subscribe. Two remarkable Divas whom I've been listening to for many months now absolutely have brought tears again. I've read Opera singers must get the notes absolute, not the pronunciations. So she held to perfecting her craft and Freddie did his style to perfection. Thus this fantastic and unique treat at that time about 30 years ago. Thank you much.

Your reaction was spot on! The older I get, the more I realize just how great Freddie was. When you are young and you go to a concert or listen to a record, you just want to be entertained. You either like the music or not. While I'm not a fan of opera, I agree that both these individuals are masters of their gifts. I appreciate more and more not only what a great voice Freddie had, but the showmanship and nothing short of perfection that he put into literally everything he did. This was a wonderful collaboration.

they were very good friends. she said no one ever got as much out of her voice as Freddie did because he wanted to get everything he could out of her. they didnt sing it live because Freddie was tired of the disease. at the beginning one of the sound engineers played the recording too early and Freddie was mad at him because everyone found out that this was playback😂🙈

Thanks so much! this is my favorite from this opera - which Freddie wrote - and shyly approached his opera idol Montserrat with -- she actually is singing English in this particular song, but because she is Spanish, and English was not natural to her, it's a bit hard to understand -- one thing I absolutely love, though, is that when Freddie is singing the opening verses, you can see her lip-synching - she just can't hardly wait :)

I’m going to get slammed bad here, but imho, Freddie seemed a little flat in comparison. Her vocals were so deep and rich, he just didn’t have the depth to keep up with her. BUT, nobody has ever seen Freddie give less than everything into a performance,
