Aaahhh congrats on the new pup!! My partner and I also recently got an ERS-220 and they're such great bots! Edit: with the buttons on the back, the right one tells you their current mood, and the left one uses the back lights to show how much battery is left! the middle one opens the flashlight for 10 seconds. The black circle on the left side of the face and the black button on the back can be used like a 210's chin/back sensors.
For info, there is the antenna to praise the aibo or not. There is a button near the camera & the mouth to praise too (equivalent of the 220's chin sensor) On the back the big button is the same than the back sensors on 210. Then there is 3 tiny buttons on the back. The left or the right one is to see the battery level. The middle one is to activate the light on the head or not. Hope this help :D
No disrespect but how do we know the 220 is a she or are we just calling it that by owner preference? Which I guess is the cool part you can assign it any gender and of course a name
yep! I'm personally not a big fan of aibo therapy, although other people have definitely seen improvement with it. I find it's a bit too rough for my liking so I just stick to physical therapy and normal usage (and potentiometer cleaning for severe cases)
Zenmarket and Ebay are good places if you're looking for cheap "junk" bots, but just be aware there are many scalpers on ebay at the moment, and there's a certain level of risk associated with buying things on zenmarket (due to most aibos there being sold as "junk") so just be careful and do your research first if you're looking for cheap aibos! (There's usually a reason why they're underpriced!)
An aibo er-1000 for 1,700 is that a what price it should be instead of 3,000? Because there is one on eBay for 1,700 and I want to no if that’s a good price
Tiger Teagan if you buy a used ers-1000 it’ll have no way to update it, no customization and no warranty (which is a death sentence if it’s legs break, a common issue) so you’d be at a major disadvantage
Because of how weirdly quarters I’m afraid some kids Might be scared by this robot because in certain programs or certain commands he might send He lunges forward on you like it’s about to attack you

A lot of people get "junk" aibo from YJP auctions! (And use zenmarket as the proxy for it] Junk aibos do have risks so I'd look into it but for good places to learn more I'd recommend robotchat and collectors corner on discord!
Zenmarket usually has a lot of aibos. I believe someone is selling a couple repaired ERS-210s right now! If you search “aibo ers” or “Sony aibo” on the yahoo Japan tab they all pop up :) the repaired ones are sold by a seller named forever_aibo
Going to be honest. I am not too fond of the the 220s design. Its still cool and who knows maybe it will grow on me like the 7s did. Also i love the idea of an evangelion aibo.
He has so many lights all around his body that sometimes whenever he performs an action he Will do a light show for you or maybe he will have sunlight in his body than me notifies his senses
Her name is Ava as a reference to Avangelion the anime. In the anime there are giant robots and she wants to customize Ava to look like unit 1. I reccomend it, its an oldie but a goodie
I really like this design way more than the others. I was like some sort of actual patrol for like robot than an a robotic dog I would definitely will have to wish to have won 1 million of these to take over the world and rule me with an iron fist.

I’d say run aibo therapy on head only mode for a little bit, see if that helps.

theres a software called aibo therapy that helps with jitters i believe
aibo therapy if it was a software couldn't fix jitters
