Your work on the driver was exceptional Thomas with great attention to detail. Overall I think your best build of an F1 car to date. Have a very safe and happy New Year with the family and looking forward to following in the year to come.
Excellent build mate I’ve just bought this kit and can’t wait to build Two questions where can I buy the carbon fibre decal and secondly the figure I want to do mine in ayrton sennas helmet Many thanks
Thank you! So the carbon fibre decals are Tamiya and can be bought from many places. Have a look at modelworks.co.uk as they also do Senna decals I believe. Just make sure you find ones from his time at Williams. The driver figure is from the Fujimi pit crew sets. Both A and B come with a driver but leave off the HANS device if doing a '90s car.
Show bela da montagem 😃👏 nota 💯 de um dos carros bem mais bonito da categoria viu show de bola 😃😃 o carro e bom trabalho também e o piloto 😃👏 e show eu pensei montou so o do corpo ate os braços e as pernas em mesmo assim ficou show de bola 😃😃👏👏🤙🤙👏🤜🤛
Fantastic job! I've got this kit and am very interested in how you did the carbon fibre and seatbelts . Someone did one with Japanese decals for carbon fibre but they are expensive. Also, which tamiya decals did you get as there are a few? Any help appreciated!
Many thanks! I believe they were Tamiya fine twill carbon decals but you can see the build in a bit more detail on the videos here How to build the Williams Renault FW16 driven by Ayrton Senna and Damon Hill - 1/20 Fujimi: th-cam.com/play/PLKiQDI6u1XyDYRZ3coQr-YMOWWuxQ_2m-.html I think I cover the seatbelts in those videos too.
I have a couple of questions. When you handpaint with tamiya paint what is your thinner ratio and how many coats do you usually put on. Also where do you like to buy Fujimi models (EU)?
Ok sure - probably 2:1 paint to thinners for Tamiya although I prefer hand painting with Revell as that can be thinned with water. I generally get my Fujimi kits from Kent Models in the UK as they are Fujimi's main British importer. I think they deliver to mainland Europe but I'm not sure.
Turned out really good Thomas!!!!! 👍👍👍
Thanks a lot, Tim
Brilliant build result Thomas! Damon would be proud of you! All best wishes to you and yours for 2022, and keep the builds coming!
Thanks so much, Paul. I'd love to hear what he thought of it. I read his and Johnny Herbert's book last year and really enjoyed it. Happy New year!
Outstanding build Thomas.
Thank you very much, Joe
The comment’s you give, are very educational, thank you and gave a happy new year.
Many thanks, Christian! I like to share knowledge! Happy New year to you too!
That looks fantastic with the driver figure in it Thomas. Superb build!
Many thanks, Simon. I think the drivers add a lot to the F1 kits.

Thank you so much, Allan. Between this and the McLaren from the start of the year in my opinion.
Happy New year to you and yours too!
Lovely build details looks Great. 👏👏
Many thanks, Chris 👍😁
Turned out really well, very nice.
I've used indycals, be aware that the decals aren't separate on the sheet, had no trouble though.
Many thanks, Sarah Jane. Yeah, I'd used Indycals once before for the Williams FW19 actually.
It's looks Really Good!!!! Happy New Year to you and yours!!!
Many thanks, Mike. Happy New year to you too!
Great work on the driver, and the car itself is looking absolutely brilliant, nice one 👌🏻
Many thanks, Chris. I've used all my 1/20 drivers now... I need more!
Nice build. Love how you make these builds look so simple.
Happy New Year to you and yours.
Many thanks, Michael. They don't feel simple when I'm making them! 😅
@@BOABModels I have no doubt about that.
Looks amazing. Wish I was that good. Not carbon wishbone on that car in 94
Many thanks - practice and practice!
I know about the wishbone - I made a mistake.

Very very impressive built 😍. The first idea for my model come out with Union Jack flag on Damon figure but it's quite big 😌
Thank you. Is that like from his win at Silverstone?
@@BOABModels yes. The flag itself covering almost 50 persen of the car🤣
Haha! 😅
