All the highly skilled Portuguese were forced to leave by 1976 because of Frelimo's nationalization of their property and discriminated against them. Those same Portuguese moved to South Africa and got their reverse. They played a key role in South Africa's support of Renamo which gave Frelimo a taste of their own medicine.
They were colonial masters that is why they were forced to leave the country, unlike Chinese who are in the country to invest not loot our resources! Portuguese were bunch of looters.
