For those of us that live in the real world, actions have consequences. Don't pay your cell phone bill, you lose service. Don't go to work and you lose your job. Sometimes even one bad decision can ruin your life. But not so for the leaders of our country. Or for certain individuals who believe they're above the law. This was laid bare this week in the senate races in GA and the insurrection at the US Capitol. Americans made choices to uphold their specific values. Voters in GA had their voices heard and a small portion of people decided to subvert democracy. Rioters breaking into Congress and elected officials willing to continue to lie to the American populace. All should be held accountable for their actions. Also the commanders of the law enforcement personnel in D.C.,... Please handle all "protests" equally. Tanks and overwhelming force against Black Lives Matter, but unguarded easy access to the US Capitol during the certification of duly recognized state votes and... No consequences. America can, should, and will do better. This country is made up of immigrants who seek freedom, but also people who were and are oppressed. America was not some new wild frontier; people had lived here for a very long time. And many people were forced here against their will in slavery. But, we can be better than our ancestors - we can value each person for their character. This country is an experiment in democracy, and for us to succeed, we have to be able to accept our faults and make much better decisions.

Historically, people who attempted the stuff Trump, Giuliani, Bannon & co tried to pull off last winter as a bid for power, and who failed, have often ended up hanged in public. or locked away for life. Sometimes court-martialed - or sometimes they have killed themselves fast to escape a trial and harsh punishment for their treason.
