I LOVE this launcher! I happily paid the asking price, even for the non-essential features, as it's not a requirement. I use it on both my sluggish Sony Bravia TV and, more importantly, my 2019 Nvidia Shield Pro. The randomized backgrounds are a nice perk, but what I truly appreciate is the snappy, minimalist interface without any ads, unlike Roku or Amazon. Everything is more efficient, faster, and simply more enjoyable! Just wanted to let you know that there are no ads, and paying for this app is entirely up to you.
Can you do a video of a fire stick/fire TV using the app? I'm sure the extra steps are just sideloading but I want to see the performance before I go about it myself.

Totally agree with you it's fantastic! It's a nitpick but the issue imo with projectivy is that it doesn't allow the renaming of apps so smarttube still shows as smarttube. Other launchers out there allow smarttube to be renamed as youtube
Great video. One of my favorite launchers. I did buy it about a year ago to support the developer. I only wish the TH-cam channels would show the length of the video. I sent the developer an email. They said maybe a future update. That was a while ago.
Very often I watch TV in the middle of the night and now my FireStick insists on high volume ads for their shows as soon as the TV is turned on. I have to as quickly as possible move down to my sets of apps before I wake up the house. The more ads annoy me, guaranteed the less I will buy or watch that product.
You could always add a Roku to your setup, as they don't pull that mess with their home screen, and they also have their mobile app that allow you to listen with headphones so you don't bother anyone else in the house. I've been doing this for years, as my wife likes to go to bed earlier than I do some nights while I stay up, and watch Wrestling.
Thanks Lon for sharing this great app! It’s the launcher I’ve dreamed of. I installed it and it works perfectly fine. I hope it won’t be blocked by Google. I switched from Fire TV to Chromecast a year ago because the Fire TV menu was barely usable, all app buttons being buried under a ton of adds. Chromecast with Google TV was better, but still too clogged up in ads for me.
Does anyone else's Google TV cause scrolling to glitch, where they press a direction button once but it jumps about 5 or 6 rows? This is happening once the app is enabled in Accessibility. I'm wondering if I can return this TV and get another one (it's brand new) if the issue is only randomly happening to Google TV owners.
This looks like a must have launcher for my Fire TV. Google, in their predatory ad placements, has decided to make us view a full screen ad before even getting to any basic functionality of the device. I previously was able to bypass this by adding a Alexa routine to select the home screen twice so as to not see this ad when I turn my TV via voice. This app will eliminate that and other things I would rather not see when trying to use my Fire TV. Because their is no access to the Google Play Store on the Fire TV I would, unfortunately, have to side load it.
I wish it had the ability to rename apps and change apps icons and size also to give us the ability to have more rows per category so not to have to scroll sooooo much 😂 I guess some simply ideas so everyone can customize the interface to the best look they see

Great video again, @LonSeidman! However, Google TV seems to have an option to switch to "App only" mode - which effectively does the same thing as removing ads etc. compared to the default launcher? I have done this with Google TV on my "Chromecast 4K w/ Google TV" as well as my 2022 Sony OLED TV w/ Google TV. I have not looked for the "Apps only" option on my Shield TV though. If the "Apps only" option is not available on Shield TV, I am wondering if "Apps only" might be on newer versions of Google TV than the version of Google TV that is on the Nvidia Shield? Hi there! I'm having a similar issue to when I enabled another app that was supposed to do something similar and give me my own desktop/home screen. I know this is a glitch or something on the Google side, but has anyone encountered this and found a fix?
I use the "Apps Only" on my Android TV/devices. Settings - Accounts & Sign-in - User Account. It's reduces to an add at the top with the launcher looking more like an Apple TV display.
If you save the configuration to Dropbox or any cloud storage then you have effectively rolled your own sync feature. The developer doesn’t need to add one

Great video Lon and an excellent launcher! I'm SO glad you showed us how to set it as the default in Android Accessibility. Never would have thought of looking there.
Do you know if the new fast pair on Bluetooth works? I really enjoy switching between my phone and my TV with my headphones.
I would definitely switch over if that feature carries.
So helpful! Was so tired of seeing Google's giant demonic ads. Thanks
Great Video! Going to get this up and running ASAP for the improvements noted-Thanks
Any tip or knowledge you have on using this app on the imperial brand TV's?
Thanks for the video. I tried out the app and everything worked great except for one bug that kind of ruined it for me. I have a Hisense TV and when I used Projectivy it suffered from the navigation bug so I had to uninstall it.
Hello, how do i make it my default launcher on the ONN Google TV stick?
Thank you. Finally I don't have to see ads for gay sex fetishes from Google every time I turn on my TV.
Thanks for the tutorial! Good riddance Roku Ultra, the Shield with this custom launcher is a million times better.
I'm from Brazil and your video was very useful to understand all the features of this app, and thanks to the automatic translation of the subtitle into my language, I was able to understand what you are talking about.
Amazing video! Thanks for making it easy to follow along with.
Hey Lon, how do you sideload apps? I assume you have to have some kind of a file manager app and an apk file stored? I'm just using the Google TV Onn adapter.
Downloader from aftvnews is great solution
Any way to have the Watch Next category update to show the newest next episode or continue a movie? The google home screen is pretty good at doing that. Kind of a bummer if this doesn't.
Anyone know if you still can access the normal settings for the shield if i use this so that i still can turn on the AI upscale thanks
So it doesn't remove ads from TH-cam on Android TV, just removes ads on the Android home screen?
Thanks for this video I loved the launcher it works greay
How do you switch HDMI? From 1 to 2 or 3 to use another device?
anyone knows if it works on fire TVs (amazon ecosystem) ??
Has there been any recent updates to this? I’m going to try doing it to my Onn box shortly.
5:20 So Android doesn't let the app see your passwords, but does let it see credit card numbers you enter? That is mad.
Thanks for this video I loved the launcher it works great
Still don’t understand how to get it to remove adds on flixvision for mi stick
This app is a game changer. I would encourage everyone to get the paid version to support the developer.A small price to pay for a great app with no ads!😀
Great app too pricey but I'll donate
The ONLY issue I have with my chromecast is that it always suggests a particular youtube channel (that I have ZERO interest in and not subscribed to.) Anyway to block it?
This Launcher is faster than the original Google launcher
Installed it, configured it, loving it.❤
can you do this but a full setup video? how to enable accessibility settings and all that?
Thanks for this! My TV is slow, it loads the ads before loading the favorite apps section. This should speed things up for me. 👍
Happy New Year Lon! I finally Subscribed to your channel. Sorry it took me so long. Fully Disclosure 😀I though I did. My apologies. Anyway, this hack is a beautiful thing. Thanks for sharing. See you soon on Amazon Prime Day Deals. Be safe.
Great video.. 😎👍
A great launcher. I want to translate it into Lithuanian. How can I do that?
This is fantastic 👏
Wow! This is EXACTLY what I’ve been looking for. Thank you so much for this video!!! ❤
Today I found this great launcher. There is only one thing whih does not work as expected. If you enable the launcher overide setting and select Kodi to automatically start when booting, then Kodi starts loading when booting my Nvidia Shield 2019 pro, but soon afterwards Kodi loading is interupted and the projecttivity launcher is loading. So this is not working as expected. I tested this a couple of times ... Any ideas or is this a bug?
Try to remove its access by removing in accessibility settings and remove it
Or uninstall Projectivity
I am still getting ads pop up on youtube someone please advise
Can you use this to launch HULU?
Amazing!
Unfortunately with Google's anti consumer behavior they will patch this so you can't overide the current launcher.
Thanks for the video. What a blessing. I bought a Xiaomi Mi Box, with GOOGLE tv and was very unhappy because of the ads for all the movies, even though I do not have subscriptions for Netflix, Amazon or Disney etc etc.
At least the Xiaomi box with ANDROID Tv most of the rubbish could be turned off. This app is a total game changer, I set it up as per your video. The screen is totally uncluttered. Now I must see if I can get the app to work on my HISENSE Smart TV. It is full of non usable apps, made for India and China (I am in S. Africa).
Alow it to do the things you may or may not want it to do? Er, ok.
