Tesla recalled nearly 700,000 vehicles, including the 2024 Cybertruck, 2017-2025 Model 3, and 2020-2025 Model Y. Yet its share price is rising to the moon. If Nio had a recall we will see at least a 10% drop immediately. The point I'm making is no matter how good Nio is the market makers and shorts have a strangle hold on suppressing Nio price.
The guy driving and on his mobile phone at the same time is a danger to other road users. Once had a van driver who was on his phone drive straight into the back of me, it was a dead straight road and he should have seen me from half a mile away but his phone was more important!,😡 Great car though and hope Onvo and Nio come to the UK.

Thanks Marcel , you are honest I respect this , I really wish Nio reaches out to you to solve marketing and also some of your expertise as a consultant , they have a great product but lack the marketing and streamline of manufacturing currently , I am hoping Now with this , the firefly and et9and onvo , they can get mass market sales to get to trim losses , do you feel with higher sales in 4th quarter their losses may be less then last quarter ? the losses need to be narrowed ir it will remain penny at stock levels , or do you feel losses will increase again this quarter ????
Not sure what was the issue with autopilot here. But even NIO autopilot is not best currently. Seems Xpeng and Li doing much better (tested on the AutoLab channel for example). Hope NIO can improve their ADAS to match with the competition. L60 is good product though.
Bad luck. If I had been in charge I would have offered to pay for a lunch break (for construction workers) or something. Could have headed to the next gen4 also. Press cars should be checked throughly to avoid such issues. Companies like BMW tripple check press vehicles to prepare for events. They even mark them as press vehicles and they are sought after on the used car market.
I can see onvo cars as the best car for taxis in china and maybe a lot of asian countries 2 million taxis in china about the same in India 50000 in bangkok taxis do more than 300 kms a day taxi companies with more than 500 cars will have 3 or more batteries swapping stations inside the taxi garage and at the end of his shift the driver will park the car and the car will swap the battery by itself waiting for the next driver to come along,
This car is great. In UK you can buy new opel vauxall corsa for this sort of money. Let's do not be naive, they are making great EVs in China and Europe EVs are so much behind. In Mokka for example you can't even see where you heading, visibility is bad. Of course you got 150 hp or less. 35 percent of all the gadgets which onvo have for a similar or bigger price. I got two Evs. One is from Japan and other from South Korea. They are not bad, but not to compare with onvo - that's other dimension. Why we are looking in to the details in here - the car is great in general, much better than competitors cars in UK and Europe. Nio will be dominant, I hope. They deserve that, proper quality, great service, cars from other level.
one more thing about "FSD"- as of small company ( what NIO is right now ), it is very very hard to fully solve self driving only by them selve. And probably border collaboration between China other companies would be very wise! I think end to end systems will start to work without Driver needed inside 2-5 years. And probably the one Nvidia Orin X chip what they have inside of onvo cars now, not have enough compute to handle FSD to the end point. But they need eyes on the road ( cars with cameras ) to learn and it is wise to not over invest to more than Orin X chip on the car right now . Because i think the models in the future ( 3-5 years) have all the necessary comput to drive by themselves.
They are right on track with what they said they would do it’s unfair to say they aren’t ramping fast enough unless your expectations are beyond what management said. As long as they hit 20,000 in March Im happy. Nio should sign a licensing agreement with Tesla for FSD for ONVO and firefly in fact they should drop LiDAR and use Teslas product for all their cars. China will allow FSD in China this year and absolutely nothing in China LiDAR or no LiDAR is even close to 13.02 FSD in the USA. ONVO will be selling 250,000 in 2025 and will grow significantly faster than Nio moving into 2026 by 2030 ONVO will sell four vehicles for every Nio.

you just not understand the end to end full self diving solution. End to end needs data ( where they can learn the self driving) what onvo and nio do not have jet so much. The more car thay have on the road the better the full self diving get. Important thing is that they switch to end to end solution because it is the right and only way! The quality of self drive come in time. And TSLA have big lead on that, the others are 2 years behind!
Sorry, but Tesla is way behind Huawei 3.2 ADAS and Baidu already has thousands of autonomous taxis providing over 8 million rides since their Apollo pilot in 2021. Take a guess who's partnering with Baidu?🤣
The issue was not related to the end to end approach, but a problem with the navigation. So even if you wouldn’t use autopilot, road exits would appear too late on the map. This likely also lead to problems with Autopilot, as what the car perceived would differ to what the underlying mapping showed. Just like a human, the car would get confused by the mapping orientation.

But if you want to make FSD afordable for everyone then end to end is the way. But that is good to hear that NIO is partnering with Baidu. If NIO can't produce an anonymous solution at the level needed to compete they could always slot in Huawei's without too much hassle. As far as AI goes DeepSeek V3 with their open source model, which is better than GPT-4o and trained on neutered NVDA processors for 1/10 the cost, shows the direction the Chinese are going.
Who expects massage seats in rear of a budget car , onvo already has many features above other cars for same money , plus quality unlike tesla

You are really nitpicking here, Onvo is a great car.

Good observation. For massage back seat, I would suggest Onvo will add option upgrade package. That will also help to raise the profit margin.
Too much nagging
In 2024, Nio was done more than 40%. It will take almost 100% to make the loss of 2024. Hopefully Nio can rise above 5 and then 10 in 2025.
