I have a red foot tortoise and I struggle with the calcium and vitamin supplements. If she even smells this stuff she will not touch her food, she obviously hates that stuff. I even squeezed watermelon juice to help cover it up but that only lasted a short while. She just knows when it’s in her food
@@ChiefSweetsUniverse so what’s your fix and how do you go about? Because I have to disguise mine it’s hard since she don’t need to be eating sugar juice every feeding and even if I did she would just eat the fruit and never touch the important greens
So if I have the same Arcadia 14% bulbs I don't need D3 in my calcium powder? My bearded is a juvinile, the bulb is around 16-18 inches from the basking spot.
Hi!!! I just got my 3 month old baby bearded dragon and have been watching your videos for some awesome advice!!! Quick question, on the days you’re dusting the insects with the calcium or the multivitamin…are you only dusting a certain amount of crickets (for example: only gets a total of 3 calcium dusted crickets today) OR are you dusting ALL the crickets that are fed at every feeding throughout that day?
What about baby dragons getting calcium? Should that be given like everyday until they’re bigger or a few times a week? My little guy is being so bad and not eating his greens 😭
Hello, i bought all the lights you recommended. So my baby is getting proper uvb. I have the calcium powder without d3. I also have the vitamins WITH d3. So once a month for the vitamins, and ive been putting the calium on her bugs everytime. Is that ok? Please help it is really confusing
Hes at a point where he dosent have energy to even chase the insects...Can i mix water and the calcium and feed that through a syringe for now?@ChiefSweetsUniverse
If u have proper UVB lighting then use calcium powder without D3, u can use the with D3 once or twice a week and then use the without D3 the rest of the week. Too much D3 is not good.
So you don’t have to have to give the calcium everyday? I have a proper uvb for my bearded but was top calcium at least 3/4 times a week and if it’s without the b vitamins for him to have them 2/3 times a week too? I have the calcium with vitamin b in it so 3 times a week would be sufficient? Thanks 😊
Greetings I have an arcadia 10% bulb and I am going to get a baby bearded dragon would that be enough for a 48" long tank? I do plan on upgrading to a 14% bulb soon or should I get the better bulb before I get the dragon?
Yo, I have a question so I have a bearded dragon 4 months old I bought a started kit thrive 40 gal kit it came with a uvb light 23 watts is that enough watts for him to not develop the bone disease? How many watts do you suggest for a basking light and a uvb light for a bearded dragon. The calcium I use is flukers repta calcium with vitamin d3 and phosphorus free is that good?
Go ahead and use that calcium for now. the uvb that comes with the thrive kit is very weak so definitely try and upgrade to the zoo med or Arcadia t5 linear uvb lights. Also wattage depends really on gets you to the right basking temp. I have some lighting guides on the channel as well
I have a juvi bearded dragon in a 40 gallon tank with zoo med t8 uvb linear bulb. Is that good? And should I be feeding calcium with D3 and Reptivite with D3. That’s what I put on my crickets
Hello, tell me please, u use t5 ReptiZoo 10%, on 30 cm. high terrerium, do i need with or without D3?) Becouse all time i give every feed Repashy all in one, thanks for help!
@@ChiefSweetsUniverseI will use ReptiZoo for six months, and in time I will try to order Arcadia from Europe. Please advise me, while I use it, I should continue to give Repashy, or is it better to buy vitamins without d3?

I know exactly what you mean my uromastyx are the same way
@@ChiefSweetsUniverse so what’s your fix and how do you go about? Because I have to disguise mine it’s hard since she don’t need to be eating sugar juice every feeding and even if I did she would just eat the fruit and never touch the important greens
I use a double hood light. One is a heating ceramic and the other is light, heat, and UVA.
Make sure to get a uvb lamp
i don't use high output bulbs... i use natural sunlight and dust it with calcium
Nothing better than natural sunlight
Hi can reptitive mix with the calcium together?
So if I have the same Arcadia 14% bulbs I don't need D3 in my calcium powder? My bearded is a juvinile, the bulb is around 16-18 inches from the basking spot.
Nope he will naturally produce the d3. Now if you are scared you can still use it. However with proper uvb they don’t need it
hey chief, can i give my dubias the supplement (on their food) instead of dusting? will my beardie still effectively get the calcium?
You can buy the dubias will digest it for their own body so it’s best to dust the entire insect
Is a t8 bulb good for a baby beard?

I dust all of them
Perfect
Thank you 😊
light* what i meant
So the reptivite 1 time a month only ? I got confused with the two week once a month
Yeah once a month is good but you can do every two weeks as well if you want to give them more.
@@ChiefSweetsUniverse okay thanks!

for crested gecko it’s best to use the calcium and vitamin with the D3 or not?some say they dont need D3,some say they need D3, I am so confused
I would go with d3 with a crested gecko as they sometimes don’t expose themselves to uvb a lot. But if they do don’t get d3
@@ChiefSweetsUniverse thx
good infp ty
Thank you 😊

That sounds exactly right! You are doing great!
I think my bearded dragon has bone disease. I can't afford to take him to the vet..Is it too late for recovery and what can I give him to get better?
Good uvb and dust insects with calcium
Hes at a point where he dosent have energy to even chase the insects...Can i mix water and the calcium and feed that through a syringe for now?@ChiefSweetsUniverse
I ordered the calcium powder with d3 will I be ok to use that for now until it runs out and then order the without ?
If u have proper UVB lighting then use calcium powder without D3, u can use the with D3 once or twice a week and then use the without D3 the rest of the week. Too much D3 is not good.
is the feeding schedule the same for juveniles and adults??
No juveniles are fed daily adults you skip days. I’m about to post a feeding guide soon
So for leopard gecko it’s best to use the calcium and vitamin with the D3 ?
Yes

Not for a bearded dragon good for a leopard gecko but you need the 12% for a 40 gallon
I use get your pet right 26 watt and it has 12% uvb and 30% uva 58% viable light desert 12.0 is that good
Can i use uvb light and also calcium and vitamin with d3 becuz in my country( india )
Amazon doenst sell vitamin and calicum without d3
Yeah that’s fine
going to feed pinkies
I have a juvi bearded dragon in a 40 gallon tank with zoo med t8 uvb linear bulb. Is that good? And should I be feeding calcium with D3 and Reptivite with D3. That’s what I put on my crickets
I would replace the t8 with a t5 and eventually upgrade the tank to a 4x2x2 and you’ll be great.

Repashy all in one is fine but I do recommend getting rid of the reptizoo and using a Arcadia or zoomed uvb
There is no chance to get Arcadia or ZooMed in Ukraine now( Only ReptiZoo T5 i find. @@ChiefSweetsUniverse

So he still needs the calcium without d3 2x-3x a week for an adult beardie ?
Calcium with every insect feeding
@@ChiefSweetsUniverse thanks!
Even if I have correct uvb is it okay if I still get calcium with d3
Yeah you can just next time you buy some get the kind without
