    As you know, the Hmong language is base on pitch. So for example "go take a shower" if you say it in a different pitch, you could possibly say, "go to hell". LOL. But overall, Tanaya did well.

    I think her pronunciation is good. The Hmoob spelling for Don't want to go should be like this "Tsis xav mus", not like this: tsi sav mus. It's him who got it down wrong in the first place. Just a feed back, not to criticize. My next GF is going to be African American for sure. LOL 😆😆😆

    This is great to see. Kudos to anyone trying or wanting to learn HMoob especially if you aren't familiar with tonal languages. Also, seems like Tanaya has some background with the written language since she commented about the tonal markers at the end of the words. Your pronunciation and understanding of the tones is pretty good. It would help if the words were spelled correctly though then I think you'd be able to say it correctly. Regardless, keep it up both of you.

    • @TheVangs
      @TheVangs  ปีที่แล้ว

      I know there is a difference in dialect between white and green Hmong (here in the U.S.) I’m not aware of other dialects however. But I wouldn’t doubt if they do only speak green and white (the other tribes) it would still be different than here

  • @SeeHang
    @SeeHang 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    As a 35 yr old hmong American I’ve come to realize our hmong language is great for trash / shit talking compared to most languages because our language takes skill due to the complexity of the 6 tones. If we have a rap battle one mispronounced word makes a world of a difference and that could be because the right word was said but the pronunciation is just as important lol.

    • @aliasdoe007

    Lolz it’s xav not sav. Sav dab ntub = being interrupted in my sleep. Sav in green can also be used for full cooked meat.
    Plawb = lolz sounded more like you were trying to say hlwb (brain) more.
    Plaub = 4 (or) hair
    Hau = boil (or) head
    Hmong writing spell the way how it sounds.
    Example: ib sib ntsib thib khib dib. (Just remove anything before ‘ib’ and add letters to make a word out of it.
