this might be a little dramatic but i actually love u so much!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i have been struggling with half equations for so long and i never understood my teacher's explanation how much i tried! but i got ur explanation so quickly :) thank u so much for this video
You teaches better than my chemistry mam she has like so many years of experience of teaching but still I didn't understand anything from her you won't believe she is it teacher of ---- (I cannot say)means she is a teacher of International School but still she doesn't teachers as good as you
It focuses on how to predict the products if you already know the ions that are attracted to the anode/cathode. If you want to know how to find out which ions go where then check out one of the previous videos :) Sorry! This is the downside of making shorter videos!!!
I don't understand why Cations get reduced at cathode. Don't they already have extra electrons they wanna get rid of? Why are they gaining more? My Chem igcse exam is tmr😭 Really would appreciate it if someone explain
Cations are positively charged so that means they don’t have enough electrons. They normally just gain enough electrons to go back to their atomic state
@@ChemJungle omg I get it now! I'll break it down here so I can come back. Na+ P 11 E 10 At cathode, they gain electron again to go back to Na state. E 11. I got confused with electronic configuration. Thank you so much for your reply, your channel is awesome!!
Because 4 oxygen atoms and 4 hydrogen atoms on the left side is equal to the right side , Vise versa As on the right side there is already an Oxygen atom of O2 so adding another 2 in front of H2O makes it 4 on the right, same for hydrogen as it got multiplied by ( 2 × 2 =4 ) So 4:4 on both sides
I swear that your explination is better than my school teacher, I finally understood it from you! Thanks maam.
Damn🔥for the first time in my life I understood half equations after ages. You teach really well ma'am.Thank you for saving me.I have a test tomorrow
Glad to hear that!
Me tooo
After watching a lot of videos about half equations, this is the best explanation for me.
Thanks a lot.
You are most welcome
Thank you so much I understood everything you explain better than most teachers !!!!

I'm so glad! Good luck :)
Thank you so much! I finally understood why we were adding and subtracting electrons!
Thank a lot ma'am it was too interesting &helpful.☺
Thank youu 🙏 this was such a big help especially with my test tmrw
Good teacher You really better school teacher I appreciate it
You are very welcome!
I wish u were my teacher😭😭
It was very helpful to me
I finally understood ,thanks a lot ❤
4OH- gives us O two+two water+four electrons
Very helpful maam.
I will always be grateful 😭❤️
This chem paper 1 is the only exam that i have felt scared about 🤢
helpful for student from UK.
😇
Happy to help :)
Thanks it was really simple to understand
THANK YOU SO MUCH THIS SAVED MY LIFE
Thank you!! Really really helpful
Thank you so much 🌸
I have a question please.
Why does OH- oxidized to O2 and H2O
thank you!! that was soo useful
Thank you mam so much ,I was having problem in this but it is now clear ,again thank u mam so much...
This is probs the only video that helped me understand it. Thank you so much.
U're the best ma'am.
Really helpful. Thanks🙏
This is soooooo helpful tysm i have chem exam tmrw and u explained it a thousand times better than my chemistry teacher ever did!
I'm so glad! Good luck!

Always great vids
Great 🔥😊
I have my finals in 3 hours😊 this helps alot
I finally understood ..thank u:)
You're welcome 😊
Excellent thank you so much!!!
Thank you very much
Hi, can you help me with, which gas bubbles first during electrolysis of conc. NaCl?? And which gas forms later
Thank you mam!!!!
Very well explained thanks
TAHNK YOU THANK THANK YOIU
Omg thank you you really helped me
Glad I could help!
Thanks for explaining ❤️
You’re welcome 😊
i finally get it thank u sm!
omg I finally understand it thank you
You're welcome! I'm so happy it was helpful!
@@ChemJungle it came up on my gcse paper today and I’m pretty sure I got it correct because of you 😃
@@omcintyree The best news! Hope it went well!!!
Thank you very much 👏
You're welcome 😊
How t lo tell where to out e? On the right side or the left side?
Thank you ☺️
You’re welcome 😊
thank u maam
It says in the title 'predicting products of electrolysis' but you just go straight onto half equations?
It focuses on how to predict the products if you already know the ions that are attracted to the anode/cathode. If you want to know how to find out which ions go where then check out one of the previous videos :) Sorry! This is the downside of making shorter videos!!!

Good video!
Thanks a lot man
Thanks for the help 🖤

I'll just memorize RedCat, AnOx sdjfe. Hope I pass

@@idkmy_name7705 Yep this is it! Great job :)
Hey can you make a video on addition and condensation polymerisation since not even my school can teach it correctly to me
Check out the videos in this playlist : th-cam.com/video/O6GDSW6Wu88/w-d-xo.html Good luck!
I dont understand oh-> h2o+o2 why did u add 4 won't that make it 4H on left side and still H2 on right side
It's also 2H2O on the right hand side, so there's 4 hydrogen atoms on each side of the equation making it balanced :)
for the ag one could it just be e- (not trying to be rude my tuition said i should do it like that)
Yep for sure! I was just trying to make it extra clear for the video :) In research papers you'll definitely see it written just as e- rather than 1e-
@@ChemJungle ahh ok thank you!
My school teacher watches this and learn then teach us
nice video
Thanks :)
You are the best please
I love you 🧎♀️
Why does 4OH make 2H"2"O?
Because 4 oxygen atoms and 4 hydrogen atoms on the left side is equal to the right side , Vise versa
As on the right side there is already an Oxygen atom of O2 so adding another 2 in front of H2O makes it 4 on the right, same for hydrogen as it got multiplied by ( 2 × 2 =4 )
So 4:4 on both sides
It's true brooh this thing is easy

I swear this is the worst Im Anode by this tr
Not helpful. We already know that but how do we write OVERALL EQUATION by equations gained at cathode and anode :/
Just add the both equations and cancel the electrons
U are very cute😍
Bc padle
Fucking creep
Are you weird
Thanks so much
Thank you so much 👍
