To think that he came down here to assist us only to be treated this way...its a shame. I really hope he recovers.

    This really broke my heart.
We have to pray for him and his family. God is the greatest healer.
A gofundme is set up for him.
Let's contribute. Every little bit counts.
    Our hospital keeps failing!
    We have to do better!

This is very sad. It's unacceptable for the medical team to think that they are beyond reproach. Everyone one has a right to question the doctors and nurses about procedures and policies. This is a serious training issue and needs to be promptly addressed.

What is wrong with the staff inside that hospital. Why choose a profession that requires empathy if you don’t have it. Makes me think they are all narcissist.

I've said it before, the entire medical staff needs to be fired...all because she questioned the authorities! Everything with these folk, they take personal!

One of the major things wrong in Grenada is these wicked bastards working in the hospital and health care system nurses and doctors who treat people wicked. The government should get rid of those who are not interested in saving lives and providing the proper services to ensure the well being of patients. I am sorry for this woman in Grenada. Sometimes you think about coming home to Grenada and its not worth it you have to continue to take pressure in someone else's country.

    Outrageous.
There must be a way fly someone. The government must step up. Government received millions in aid.
This is very heartbroken to watch.
The guy took time out of his life and this what he gets.
This is very disgusting on the government part.
This is why I refuse to get involve in the gutter politics in Grenada.

Why does an island that has a top international medical university have these problems?????
I believe that the government needs to create a programme for island natives who want to become doctors, paramedics etc to fund their education
In exchange they would be required to do post grad residency on the island for a period of time to ensure Grenada has the health care knowledge it needs.
As a citizen and child of expats, Grenada needs a real strategy for the citizens which includes trained staff , updated equipment, ambulances and not a fly by night outdated bandaid solution.
Especially if you want expats to come back and live in the island or want to prevent the next generation of talented youth growing up to move abroad due to inadequate resources

Egos and medical arrogance have NO PLACE in medicine! You MUST not let them interfere with medical care and a person's life. Sanction the doctor who is upset about consent forms, they are the STANDARD, WORLDWIDE and must becsigned BEFORE all procedures PLUS the doctor performing the surgery MUST EXPLAIN in DETAIL exactky what they intend to BEFORE the patient agrees to anything. This kind of attitude is why Caribbean health care is considered SUB STANDARD by the rest of the world, this pettiness and immature and UNPROFESSIONAL behaviour by persons claiming to be qualified doctors and nurses.

Grenada health care is free but the island has a highly regarded medical college that doesn't cater to the local population so no tenure for nurses which are the backbone of the islands medical care take care of your people better Grenada they're your greatest resource not nutmeg or cocoa which are the best I've tasted Grand Bras 15 minute walk to Grenville fish market the sea was encroaching on soubise back in 2016
