@@gabesmith9353 Thank you California and Californian rescue workers. I hope they can build a bridge through the philosophical divides between the states. As a Californian who was a Floridian for 20 years before moving, I’ve never understood why it seems so many people there seem to hate California in general. What is it they have against our great and beautiful state? (with the best weather in the country. I was in a military family, and between that and moving on my own after reaching adulthood, I’ve lived in seven U.S. states, (West Virginia, Kansas, Florida, Michigan, Indiana, New York and California, and I’ve been in about 42 states in total), and I can say without hesitation that California has the best weather, and it has so much natural beauty and majesty. From an actuarial point of view Florida is fast becoming uninsurable. Honestly if this severity and frequency of catastrophic weather events continues Florida will see an exodus of people, a collapse in its GDP, and so on. Could be the beginning of the end of the State, as crazy as that sounds. Just don’t tell their Republican climate change denying Governor, eh?
It may be the heat that makes us crazy, but its about picking your poison. In some places in the US earthquakes, blizzards, hail storms, tornadoes, wild fires are big huge problems too. Looking outside the country there are political, civil, and religious wars and abuse that go on. You dance with the devil you know and me and hurricanes go way back.

Yes! We think we’re the main characters, but we’re just another species that Mother Earth can easily dust off in a snap. We’re not in control. Time and Nature, with Order and Chaos, are the real unstoppable forces running this show-we’re not as much a part of the equation as we think we are. We are guests on this Earth but we keep on mistaking ourselves for homeowners. Glad that you’re safe and alive! Remember to always be grateful for the invitation 🙌
I’m down in CT . It’s wack here. But I’d literally rather shovel my car out of snow 3 days in a row then deal with a hurricane once a year and potentially deal with it destroying my house. Even then Florida has become just as expensive as every other state. It’s not worth it anymore
Earlier today I posted a question about alligators in the flood water. Nobody on the news has mentioned that until I just saw this video tonight. At 3:38 minutes an alligator is seen biting at the tires of a rescue vehicle. I have really been worried about all of the rescuers and residents wading around in, or floating in, this flood water. Alligators can and will live nearly anywhere. New waterways will have been opened up to them to interest them in exiting the canals, ponds, and rivers where they usually reside and move into flooded streets and residential lawns. They are probably hungrier right now because their usual food sources may have been diminished. I haven't heard anything about wildlife being drowned out, but it has to be happening. I fear we could even see some extinctions of species that were on the endangered list, if their habitats are in the worst areas.
I lived in Slidell Louisiana and a man was killed by an alligator after Hurricane Ida. We had swamp land surrounding the town. They would try to the highways and wild pigs would hang out by the roads to have a dry spot.
Yes that was a fear I had for them and I asked God to shut the mouths or the alligators and crocodiles. Because they are opportunist. So when I saw the gator trying to bite the car tire. I’m was grateful it was a tire. That 14 yr old boy floating on that plank I was terrified but he was safe and found. I knew they didn’t need gators and crocs to worry about. Prayer work. That’s my prayer thru this clean up and people being rescued Amen.
The water surges in the Tampa area may not have been as catastrophic as predicted, but the tornadoes were greater in number in various areas and caused a lot of damage. Many structures were blown apart or roofs blown off!. Other areas did get more flooding than expected. Thank God most people left when told!
I honestly believe this should mark the first stage of a serious consideration to move from Florida before it finally sinks. Since Irma it is getting almost yearly monster cyclones which is making it useless to rebuild property just to be destroyed again every year. Everyone knows Florida's geological fate is doomed. Seriously, consider moving north to higher ground.
I don't know how anyone still believes the climate change nonsense. Go talk to any Floridian, this was a Thursday night with a mild wind for them. They have seen much, much worst. Holy Sarasota got flooded and parts of Tampa, kids were playing in the pools and fools were surfing on the ocean last night
Every year, the elderly are abandoned by staff in nursing homes. The owners pocket most the money and don’t pay or adequately staff the facilities. It’s disgraceful.
No Doubt we need to strengthen Regulations on Nursing Homes Why hasn’t your Republican Legislature Done That ? Hint Republicans think Corporations are more important than people
Many years ago my grandmother was in an Alzheimer’s unit in a retirement center. Everyone was evacuated by bus across the state to the west coast to a sister retirement center. My parents had friends over there and made sure she was alright. Then another hurricane came from the west and she was sent back east by bus. So not all nursing homes stay in the hurricane zone. It’s been mentioned that the bigger problem was the massive tornadoes this time. I lived in Florida for a while, hurricanes are just part of living in Florida. We made it through Irma that was pretty bad.
The catch is so much is required and most places have to turn down people because of background checks. Which they do depend on people from other countries trying to get into nursing and other parts of the medical field. My wife was telling me when she first came here initially she was going to work in a nursing home they offered her to rent a room at a house with like 5 other people for very cheap for the riverside orange county area but she turned it down because the pay was kinda low. I explained to her it wasn't because the rent would have been higher in an apartment it is what it is
Me too! I love living in California! Too many alligators and snakes in Florida!!! A huge HELL NO!!! I know we can swim in our lakes without being eaten by an alligator!
Well if you didn’t know, Jesus will fulfill you more than anything in this world, I speak from experience (from when i did Romans 10:9-13), he loves you and wants to be in a meaningful (not romantic) relationship with you. :) “that if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him. For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” Romans 10:9-13 KJV “and saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel.” Mark 1:15 KJV If you want proof that Jesus and the Bible are true look a documentary called “Ron Wyatt discoveries 2022” on TH-cam and a TH-cam channel called Expedition Bible. They both examine archeological sites and discoveries that prove the Bible, and even reference secular sources. (Just don’t convert to 7th day Adventism after watching the documentary) And lastly if you don’t know the gospel and want to be saved search up “abc’s of Salvation Teenmissions” on Google and it should be the first or second result. When you click on it read the whole thing, and do what it says and have faith in Jesus while you are doing it, do not doubt, and if it is hard for you to do what it says, ask Jesus to help you, have faith that he will, and *he will.* God Bless :)

The irony of David Muir standing in front of a house with non-functioning, decorative-only, window protectors called shutters. There was a reason shutters were used in the 'old' days, glass was expensive. All those sheets of plywood used for each storm, when shutters that actually work could protect and be decorative at the same time. I'm sorry Florida but you folks build houses like you live somewhere else and not in the path of serious storms.

@@desertdetroiter428 That's an exceptional question! And one many people have. I wish I could provide a simple answer to you-all things happen for a reason, and God sees all things from beginning to end. As the world becomes more chaotic, we find ourselves in a fallen state, separated from God and His presence. In His infinite wisdom, as humans, we see the tragedies caused by these events, the destruction, the fear, the sadness, and the death. Without the context of the Plan of Salvation, one might assume that God is taking innocent lives without reason. But I promise you there's a reason. Despite the danger, the sadness, and the frustration, as the world grows into more turmoil, we find ourselves growing closer together (COVID-19 was a perfect example of this). As people work together to love, care, share, and support one another, this is just one reason to why this could've happened. This explanation is only my earthly understanding. I don't know God's true purpose for allowing this to occur. But I promise you that if you study God and His nature, you will come to understand that our focus is what allows us to see Him in all things. By definition, all things that are good are of God. Study Him, learn of Him, and I know and promise you'll come to find the reasoning and understanding you are seeking, personally, through this. I can provide as much of my earthly understanding as possible. I could try and explain God's every action. Nevertheless, I am not God. I do not fully know of His ways. But I do know of His nature, and am thankful for His mercy every single day. Push forward my friend. Understanding will come in due time. Don't lose your faith or give up hope when trials come-for they are what make you stronger, and prepare you to return to the presence of God. In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen. ❤
@@desertdetroiter428 if there was always peace in our world, or only destruction we wouldn’t know what either means. Our God is a gracious God who gives us a perspective of both to help us appreciate the peace that He offers in our world.
it hit my neighborhood late wednesday, the northern eyewall right over my town--the strongest winds contained within. I sat with my cats and dogs in a small dark hallway , the only area in my house away from windows, listening to the most ghastly, howling winds i've ever heard in my life while my house shook like there was earthquake. debris flying around. i thought there was lightning but then my entire house was lit up with rainbow colors, there were transformers blowing up all over my neighborhood, lighting up the sky like lightning and then multi-colored...I had no idea what it was until later...it was like a horror film, with every window and door shaking. Just when i thought it passed, it came whipping through again, trees bending and losing branches everywhere flying around like missles, a horrible sound that just never seemed to end. One of the scariest nights of my life-from a sensory perspective and just the absolute DREAD of imminent doom hanging over every sound and impact. Even though I don't live in an evacuation zone, I will NOT stay home to ride it out next time anything higher than a category 2 comes nearby.
You do realize that Raymond James Stadium isn’t right on the water, right? 🤦♂️ The only buildings that have a “location problem” are the ones that are literally right on the water.
For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall be the Son of man be. For wheresoever the carcase is, there will the eagles be gathered together. Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken. And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other. Matthew 24;27-31 Dead Sea Scrolls name of Yah{God} is YHWH. Behold, I send an Angel before thee, to keep thee in the way, and to bring thee into the place which I have prepared. Beware of Him and obey His voice provoke Him not, for He will not pardon your transgressions; for My name is in Him. Exodus 23;20-21 I am come in my Father's name, and ye receive me not, if another shall come in his own name, him ye will receive. John 5;43 Who hath ascended up into heaven, or descended? Who hath gathered the wind in His fists? Who hath bound the waters in a garment? Who hath established all the ends of the earth? What is His name, and what is His Son's name, if thou canst tell? Way too late for that. Too many people. Where would you put millions of evacuees and their cars? How would you care for millions of people suddenly in a far away location? Not going to happen. Not doable.
@@DualSportMike Of course it could be done. Just takes a plan and some organization and ingenuity. If walt disney could do it with 50's technology, imagine what can be done with todays technology. Doesn't even have to be trains. Could be airlifts, with routes from points A to B to C. Depending upon the storms course. Organized schedules posted for the major points of impact listed and directions.
Wasn’t everyone warned to evacuate? Why would anyone sit this out? 😭 Why???? It’s not worth your life. I just really don’t understand that. Warned for days.
The tornado outbreak before hand was severely under predicted and severe. Central and eastern Florida don't get the worst of west landfalling hurricanes, so they didn't evacuate.
Some people wanted to leave but there was no gas to put in the car. If they ran out while driving they are now worse then they were before. The roads were packed because everyone wants to evacuate as well. There are some people that cant be transported as easy as getting in the car. The government could do something like free bus travel just for evacuating people so less cars are on the road but there are certain people who will never invest in public transportation.
5:34 Did anyone else catch that? They made a decision to split up for the best chance of survival, so at least three people can live if anything happened. That is so incredible and so heartbreaking to imagine that conversation during a hurricane.

From an actuarial point of view Florida is fast becoming uninsurable. Honestly if this severity and frequency of catastrophic weather events continues Florida will see an exodus of people, a collapse in its GDP, and so on.

Alligators normally mind their own business as they are exceptions though.
@kymberlypayne163 I'll say a prayer: "May god protect the alligators for they are acting on instinct"
FYI: The time stamp for the alligator is 3:25 ;)
The water surges in the Tampa area may not have been as catastrophic as predicted, but the tornadoes were greater in number in various areas and caused a lot of damage. I honestly believe this should mark the first stage of a serious consideration to move from Florida before it finally sinks. Since Irma it is getting almost yearly monster cyclones which is making it useless to rebuild property just to be destroyed again every year. Everyone knows Florida's geological fate is doomed.

Well if you didn’t know, Jesus will fulfill you more than anything in this world, I speak from experience (from when i did Romans 10:9-13), he loves you and wants to be in a meaningful (not romantic) relationship with you. :)
“that if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him. For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.”
Romans 10:9-13 KJV
“and saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel.”
Mark 1:15 KJV
If you want proof that Jesus and the Bible are true look a documentary called “Ron Wyatt discoveries 2022” on TH-cam and a TH-cam channel called Expedition Bible. When you click on it read the whole thing, and do what it says and have faith in Jesus while you are doing it, do not doubt, and if it is hard for you to do what it says, ask Jesus to help you, have faith that he will, and *he will.*

Why didn’t god just stop the hurricane from ever happening?
@@desertdetroiter428 same reason he didn’t stop you from writing that dumb ass comment.

And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.
Matthew 24;27-31
Dead Sea Scrolls name of Yah{God} is YHWH.
Behold, I send an Angel before thee, to keep thee in the way, and to bring thee into the place which I have prepared. Beware of Him and obey His voice provoke Him not, for He will not pardon your transgressions; for My name is in Him.
Exodus 23;20-21
I am come in my Father's name, and ye receive me not, if another shall come in his own name, him ye will receive.
John 5;43
Who hath ascended up into heaven, or descended?
Who hath gathered the wind in His fists?
Who hath bound the waters in a garment?
Who hath established all the ends of the earth?
What is His name, and what is His Son's name, if thou canst tell?
Proverbs 30;4
Florida needs to step up and create an evacuation system.
Instead of long hours of stressful ,unorganized and very dangerous evacuation chaos
They do have one. People choose to ignore it
Way too late for that.
A big thank you to all firefighters there, everyone who was helping. A strong hug to survivors. God bless and protect you
To go through this multiple times a year, would be so exhausting to me! Why do ppl wish to deal with that every year! 🤷🏾🤷🏾
Lol damn the media has you hyped up. Must suck to be brainwashed
The women of Florida that’s why 😂
@@TimDiez-zm3pxHuh...? 🤔
It’s called sone people are poor. And have probably less than $200 till November
There are hurricane shelters all across Fl. People could have moved there
Some people wanted to leave but there was no gas to put in the car.
It’s not easy for lots of people to just up and move everything in a few days.
That little boy! 😱
5:34 Did anyone else catch that? They made a decision to split up for the best chance of survival, so at least three people can live if anything happened. That is so incredible and so heartbreaking to imagine that conversation during a hurricane.
Prying for everyone in Florida! Just heart breaking! And just devastating damage!! Thank god that a lot evacuated! That is just so sad! Praying for Florida and all the areas hit by tornadoes and hurricanes! God bless you all in Florida! 😢😢 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
It’s crazy and thank you for your kind words
"They had no time to get out" Yeah, actually, they had like half a week to evacuate
Not from the tornadoes, the tornadoes formed outside the evacuation zones so no one knew those were gonna happen
Why's he so jacked?
People may forget Phalestine and Gaza
But God doesn't forget that 🇵🇸🇵🇸😢
Before this hurricane America supported Israel in killing people, old and young, and even children, and destroying their homes, and it was not for 12 hours, but rather it was an entire year in which people were annihilated..
Yes, this is what should really sadden us😢😢
Im surprised that media stayed there & reported the damaged done by the tornado but didn’t leave like everyone else.
they are strom chasers and probably have special cars
Gotta cover the story.
That x on the door give me bad Katrina flashbacks , glad this family was safe
HAD A SKULL AND CROSS BONES ON MY DOOR
How does it keep missing Mar a Lago?
Terrifying. From forest fires to tornados to hurricanes. I still remember hurricane Katrina. Just terrifying.
