It was absolutely complete details thanks you so much. I'll been here in Korea 3 months ago, and I don't know how to commute my husband doesn't want me to work and commuters is one reason he always told me to not allowed me to have a job here thanks for your video very helpful. a now l will try to have a job no matter what hehe.
Very informative video indeed. Also, I recently happened to come across the Korea Tour Card and plan to use the same for my upcoming trip to Korea, considering the benefits it offers. Can the card be purchased at Incheon International Airport and be returned for refund at Gimhae International Airport (Busan)? Also does the reload process work similar to the reload process for a normal T Money card? Thanks in advance Cheers!!
Thanks for showing me how to purchase a metro ticket using the Korea Tour Card. It was a little confusing because you purchased a T-Money card, then showed us how to top-up using your Korea Tour Card. My question is, if I already have the KTC is it necessary to take the extra step and buy a ticket? Can't I just use the card and get through the gate?
A little bit confused about t-money CARD after you pay for 4,000won and loaded for 10,000 won.,.....why do you need to buy more ticket?….currently I am in Japan next week to Korea...need to know more so confused
Thank you so much for all the info. You say that we have to use cash only to purchase and for the top-ups, but is it only in the subway station or can we use credit card to buy it in a convenience store ?
Hello sir, I'll soon go to korea so I have doubt I'm a student when can I get my citizenship card and sim card and how to open a bank account as a minor? Please if anyone know how to please comment
please explain why did you buy a single ticket to Myeongdong with cash when you had already purchased and topped up 10000 won? Can T money card not be used to go to Myeongdong?
Hello thank you for that. I have a question. I will be most of the time in Seoul, Suwon and Cheongju . I wonder if I need 3 different cards in these 3 cities. Also, I would like to know how much approximatively i need to charge my card for 1 month (bus and subway) That would be really helpful 🙏🏻🙏🏻
Yes. They usually have a whole variety of different cards at the convenience stores as well. But remember that even if you buy it at a convenience store, you still have to load it with cash only.
So in Hong Kong. The octopus card can be used as a ticket itself and you just have to reload money in it. I guess the T card just acts like a credit card and you still have to purchase tickets for subway. Can I get clarification on this please?
In Korea there is two types of trains, express usually requires ticket and doesnt allot Tmoney card. What you saw in the video is, even if you dont use the other type of train. You can still buy a ticket instead of a T money card. Why? because some people dont really use the trains. They might just use it once and prefer not to keep hold of the card and rather just use it once and get the deposit back after. Octopus card in HK is quite the same as in Seoul. This video is like information purposes. How to buy a T-money and top it up, and how to buy ticket and get a deposit back after arriving at their arrival station. Ticket or not, doesn't really make much difference, you just saved more money on your T money back.
@@losercatlover not 100% sure but I know you can use a t-money card on subways but I think you can still buy subway tickets as well (I guess if you don’t have T-Money?). I think the subway tickets are in cash only as well, but not sure.
I’m pretty sure you can buy tickets for the subways but if you have a T-Money card, you just scan it and walk through to the subway, then scan it at your destination when you walk out and it takes X amount of money off your card. Just less hassle I think.
@Not_Ciel wich is affordable for a month ? I want to charge a month of public transportation in bus and subway . What should card I purchase and how much for a month
@younesaboutaleb6098 you honestly can't operate without a T Money card, I just returned from South Korea. You'll find many T money cards at Incheon airport's AREX/CU stores. From simple designs to branded ones. The simplest ones cost 4,000 Wons each, last I went.
Certain places you can. If you see the T-Money logo then they accept it I think. It’s definitely not everywhere though. Edit: the most common places I remember seeing it while I was there was specifically the vending machines in the subway stations. There was also a store I went to (don’t remember the name) that took it as payment but it was the only store that did.

Did you just use same machine for all of it. To buy, to top up and buy the ticket?
Thank you so much for all the info. You say that we have to use cash only to purchase and for the top-ups, but is it only in the subway station or can we use credit card to buy it in a convenience store ?
the card can only be recharged using cash, even in convenience stores
You can top up at a convenience store, but like the other guy said, you can only use cash there too

So you can buy a t money card in Stores and Train station stops?
You can 100% buy them in convenience stores (I bought mine in 7-11) for 4,000 won but you still have to pay and load them with cash I believe.
Hi, if I’ve 2 children can I just use one T-Card to make all the purchases? Or does everyone need their own card?
Thank you!!!
please explain why did you buy a single ticket to Myeongdong with cash when you had already purchased and topped up 10000 won? Can T money card not be used to go to Myeongdong?
I think he is just showing us another option if you didn't want to get a T- card.

Can you tag me again if you get an answer? I will be staying in Suwon for over 4 months and I was wondering the same
So informative. Thank you. Can I buy the T card from a convenience store like 7/11?
Yes. They usually have a whole variety of different cards at the convenience stores as well. But remember that even if you buy it at a convenience store, you still have to load it with cash only.
TMoney and Cashbee are the same function cards? Why you have purchased both of them?
Thank you!

Seniors ride for free?! How old do you have to be in order to be considered a senior?
A senior citizen aged 65 or older,
If you are a foreigner, you need a green card.
@@subwayhotplace9866 What Green card?
@@Pulpswo Permanent residency ^^
@@subwayhotplace9866 Oh so if you are just visiting the country and you are a senior you can't get free rides? That's really broken...
@@Pulpswo Not really because it's covered with tax money. it makes sense that only the citizens and permanent residents get the benefit.
Can you also pay with a t-money card in restaurants, clothing shops,...
No i dont think so. Its only used for transportation
No but you can use t money card in convenience store
