I think "Real Life Korean ____" would make a very nice series! It's so helpful! This way we can learn about Korean culture, while also learning about the Korean language! It's also useful for people who are planning on visiting Korea I think. Good video, I'm hoping to see more like this in the future. Keep up the good work, you're doing amazing! :)
I was so lot in NY (I was 12 tho, and did not speak English very much 😂) but my korean level is comparable to the English I spoke at 12 and the korean subway seems way more easier to use...
I’ve arrived in Seoul a few hours ago and I made sure to watch this video a second time before my flight. It was SO useful! Not only did I find my way super easily, I also helped a tourist hahaha! 감사합니다!
👍👍 Out of the "classroom" and into "real life" situations... LOVE it! From a purely selfish position, I ask for a 노래방 episode (I love hearing you sing ❤️) and a 먹방 episode (but in a restaurant... or maybe street food, NOT convenience store food!).
Unnie this vlogging series of yours is genuinely so interesting, entertaining and inspiring! I do hope you do a lot more of these everyday situation type vlogs; you have a great way of explaining things in non stressful ways!!
I love this! More pls!! It's nice to see ACTUAL activities/tips of "real life" rather than just hearing about it. People who will see your video that plan to visit will really appreciate having seen what it will actually look like to go to the subway, buy the card, transfer, etc. Thank you!!
It is very easy to use because each station is numbered with 3 digits - first digit is metro line and second and third is station number. For example station 523 is 23rd station on line 5. So you can never be lost, just remember station number. And make sure you go to station 222. It is Gangnam station!
These real life situations are exceptionally helpful. Not only does it teaches the difficulty of Korean, but how it is already applied in Korea and where the language learner should focus on learning. As for me, I plan to travel to Korea during the summer, and any videos like this are beyond helpful with language learning in mind. I learn through italki, and your approach as a visual aid and as a tour guide in these videos are extremely helpful. I will definitely make a note of this and I look forward to more real life situations.
Thank you for taking time to show practical, simple, and important things for basic life. No matter if someone is visiting on holiday, a student in Korea, Korean and living abroad, or a new immigrant wanting to belong and flow in their new country, you show things important and simple. Naturally breaking it down to reach all skill and experience levels. Have a lovely day
I'm going to seoul in 10 days. Only book a few days ago. This video is very informative and has put me at ease, as I will be traveling solo. Thanks again and keep the videos coming

Unnie really teach in a way a person can transfer wherever he/she want(even if we get lost,we can make it). I have watched a lot of videos relating this topic, but they only tell you have to transfer like this and with signs you have to understand. It sometimes is confusing too. But Unnie taught us in a hard way( obviously for foreigners) so we understand it properly. This was really fun Unnie please make more videos outdoor.

Thanks so much! It brings back memories when I was in Seoul last year. I found navigating the subway really easy. I miss the little music announcements when the trains are approaching or connecting stations!

Am really amazed with this kind of transport🚡 In my country 🇺🇬 we dont have trains but i would like to try wen i travel 🇰🇷 to korea After i learn 60% of the hangul😁❤
Hangul is the easiest writing in the world. But it is true that Korean is difficult. But Korean is worth learning. Because Korea and capital city are the best country and city. And if Korea is reunified, it will become a powerful country. If you think about that time, it would be nice to learn Korean.
Korean Subway is best in the world. I can't wait to visit. Even NYC doesn't compare. And no where else In NORTH AMERICA does any subway system compare that of NYC
Love this video. I'm not sure if it would be possible but could you do a similar video but on the bus? Also how would you ask the bus driver if he goes to a certain area or stop?
When you go to a bus stop in Korea it will have all the places that it stops at. It will show the routes of each bus number. Then when you're waiting at the stop you just look for the bus number that corresponds to the stop you wish to visit. If you buy a Tmoney card then you can use it for the bus too and it's super simple. Say you want to get off at stop number 3 then make sure you press the red stop button after stop #2 and stand up near the exit so that the bus driver knows to stop at stop 3. I think they just keep going past certain stops if there is no one waiting there/no one getting off. The only thing is you have to remember to swipe your card when you get on the bus AND when you get off or else it will just assume that you rode the bus all the way until the last stop (which is a waste of money!).
@Vante Bwi Yep it works through any subway/bus. You can add load more money to it in any station. Every time you tap to get on the subway/off it will inform you how much money it costs to enter and how much you have left.
Thank you so much! My wife and I had our first experience with the subway in Seoul last Spring! It so good to be with both of our Korean students' families for our first time on the subway!😁

Hi unnie! This is so so helpful!! I downloaded the app right away. Will sure use it the next time me and my sister visit Korea next time. (from Vancouver, Canada)
Seoul Metro has one of the best transport infrastructure in the world. Reminds me when I used subway between Cheonan City and Seoul which is super cheap but takes an average of 2 hours and on the other hand an hour by bus from Express Terminal. I recommend you buy TMobile card so that you enjoy benefits of intermodal transport...i.e.changing from subway to bus will cost you zero won for minimum distance after which they'll start charging.
pepik121 The only bad thing is that you need another type of card if you go to other cities... Tmoney for Seoul cannot be used in let's say Busan or Daejon. May be they fixed that problem coz it's been years since I last visited Korea.

This video was very practical and helpful, I'm retiring next year and home to make a trip to Korea for two to four weeks. These videos are very helpful.
For first time travelers, I highly suggest to get a T-Card at a convenience store when you arrive at the airport. Reload up to about 15,000 won or so and you should be good for a few days worth of trip. Saves time instead of buying the disposable card everytime.
I can read all the 4 languages (Korean, English, Chinese, Japanese) written on the signs. I definitely won't get lost in the Korea subway. I can understand announcements in English and Chinese only though.
You're looking great - you must be feeling much, much better! Hong Kong subway is very much the same except that we only have about a third of your train routes. Also the bus connection from the train station is a plus and the passengers, unlike HK, are so polite! 😄

Just wanted to tell you thank you for the detailed discription of metro. And I love how organized korean metro is(including the kakaometro app). I get confused with my own country's metro even after traveling so many times. 😅😂
Korean train station is a little bit like Swedish train, the system is almost the same but not the card thing where u get ur money back.. which is strange but so good!! here u buy a card and then u have 75 min until u can’t use the card and the other thing is that u don’t need to check in with ur card to get out from the train station 😂😂 this was fun to see the differences😆

Just wanted to tell you thank you for the detailed discription of metro. And I love how organized korean metro is(including the kakaometro app). I get confused with my own country's metro even after traveling so many times. 😅😂
This is so helpful I’ve binge watching your videos since I would be travelling to korea next month. Your videos and tips are truly helpful. 💕💕
I love seeing the everyday life in Korea. This is really cool! thx
I love you videos they are so helpful with learning the language and culture. I also am planning to go to Korea in the future.
Ohh the metro ticket in korea and cheaper than in france
France is 2,459 wons / 2,209 USD
(1,90 euro)
I'm scared I'd fall asleep and miss my stop ㅋㅋㅋ I'm doing an exchange student program next year in Korea I'm excited
