In George’s biography, he says before he did any cover he would call the artist whose song it was. Bonnie Raitt said she would be honored for George to do her cover. He said he never got refused from any artist. People loved him. Vote for him into the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame. Very much deserved. Right now he is leading all nominees. I vote every day
I always loved George and his glorious voice. But it took well into adulthood for me to realize how extraordinarily talented he was. The reason is how truly effortless he makes it look & sound. No strain, no pain, no histrionics, just a purity of sound and spirit that seemed to emanate freely from his body. A one of a kind artist who will always be missed 🙏🏻
George was was a far more significant artist than Elton John. Musically as a composer he had insight and sensitivity that John rarely reached. Yet he was never knighted. Let’s remember George Michael wrote not just melody but lyrics. That alone takes him above Elton John. His voice: come on, his voice in range in timbre in its convoluted leaps from sheer power to whispering subtly. George Michael reached superstardom but somehow to this day is not recognised as the stellar figure above and beyond who we think are the GOATS.
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE react to George Michael's cover of Stevie Wonder's song They Won't Go When I Go. The song itself is one of the most beautiful ever written and George's voice on this is so beautiful it's almost beyond belief. I'm not exaggerating. You will be stunned especially because he created a choir in the background by singing all the parts himself!!!
George is the greatest. All the emotion is seen in his face, it doesnt matter what he sings, the emotion is there. Brother Can You Spare a Dime on Pavarotti and friends it is a must listen to song
Another great song from the legend George Michael, I recommend Cowboys and Angels an absolutely beautifully written song by the great man himself, sadly missed 😢
George definitely deserves his place in the hall of fame 100% 💜 I'd love for you to react to the duet George did with Mutya Buena, the song is This is not real love, and there is no official video (some of the videos made for it miss out the start of the song) best listened to front the Twentyfive album. Of all of George's duets this is my favourite 💜 Thank you for appreciating our amazing man 💜
I don’t think there are any words left to describe the amazing out of this world talent that George was. What he would make you feel with his voice is indescribable. He hand picked his back up singers when he first started his career. His musicians, some of them have been with him since his Wham days. This man really had some devoted multitalented voices that worked with him. Some live footage in the studio for his last album called Patience is outstanding. You can see how he coaches is back up singers and what he wants from them to get that perfect sound. You have to check it out. ❤
I’ve been a long life fan since his Wham! days. If you really want to hear his voice sore like even I had never heard it before, check out his performance of Brother Can You Spare A aDime. From the concert, Pavarotti and Friends in the year 2000. His live vocals were known to be even better than the recordings. You will definitely be amazed at the live vocals in this concert. It’s going to blow you away.
Pavarotti and friends is out of this world. If u haven't watched him sing Careless Whisper from Rock in Rio. I suggest you watch that. My what a voice, perfection at its best, but then he is perfection everytime
George’s mother was in the audience for this MTV unplugged performance. This was the last time she saw him perform. She passed away a few months later 2 of the best covers I saw 1:00 George do were Tracy Chapman’s “baby can I Hold you tonight” n Amy Whinehouse’s “love is a losing game”. Best I’ve seen. 1:49
Hi Karen, long time no see! You hit It right on the head. Both beautiful songs have not been heard yet on these channels! Long time overdue! GEORGE MICHAEL, ROCK N ROLL HALL OF FAME! 😎🎶🎶🎶👏👏👏💖
He was the best singer/songwriter that ever lived. Obviously my opinion. Also Karen Carpenter as best singer. George had basically the same band his whole solo career.
So schön so tief und so traurig. Dieses MTV Unplugged Konzert war einfach grossartig. Die Band, die Backupsinger und eben George, einfach unbeschreiblich schön und man kriegt nicht genug davon.
Come on Pres!!!! That might be the most emotionally connecting male vocal performance ever??? and how"s the band? I'm a 53 year old male and cant help but blubber when i see that performance. i still think he's so under-rated. RIP
On one level, love is a passionate sexual desire for an "ideal partner." But on another, deeper level, it has a different, contradictory meaning: giving yourself completely to a real, rather than ideal person. This type of love is kind and tolerant of one another's imperfections, the aspects that don't match your preconceived ideal. This song is about a relationship where the singer wants the second kind of love, but his lover still seems to want the first, which is a heartbreaking thing.
Hi, Pat long time no see. You've just witnessed a real live angel! 🥲 As you said, George was & still is genuinely phenomenal. I'm not sure that you said that you've learned much more about George, does this mean what kind of man he is. We are all unique & have a special reason for being here but, George is something all together! Please try to learn what he was really all about. It's mind-blowing. Most of us just found out about his type of philanthropy after his passing. I dearly loved him before, but by really digging deeper, & listing to his music (continuing) & really noticing just how he has affected my feeling down deep, He's was & still is an angel. He continues to live in our hearts, just like when he graced us with his being here on earth. I so hope in any way It can, that people are unaware of his magic (If you will) I think we all need the love he has given us through his music & selfless deeds. For myself, as crazy as this sounds, George has given me hope & love & understanding in my life just when I needed It most (from someone) Just how special am I? I know I sound a bit nuts or maybe a lot, however, this is how I truly feel, again when I need his love most. I do know I'm not alone when I say, right from George's mouth, YOU HAVE BEEN LOVED! George certainly is. 🕯😇🎶🎶🎶💖 LOL, Pat, again great to see you!
Velvet to my ears ❤
One of thee greatest artist of my genre..RIP He definitely has earned Rock N Roll hall of fame
I appreciate you not interrupting his vocals! Too beautiful!

If I remember right, from 1 of his many interviews, he would not have wanted to be "Sir" George Michael ! That's not what he was after !
Legend
As an artist Goerge Michael touches my heart and soul. It's like he is singing directly to me. Amazing
One of the all time greatest when giving his stage
Please listen to George Michael singing live "The Grave".
I've not heard of that one ! Will have to check it out ! Thanks !

Yes!!! He said that was really hard to do because he had to "stagger" the voices so they didn't sound like 1 person !
George was the master of long notes

His Best Cover was Elton John's "tonight "
@@karinabeck6329 I did like that one too. Let’s face it any cover George did was perfection.
The Long and Winding Road by George is the best!!!
He was the best singer/songwriter that ever lived. Obviously my opinion. Also Karen Carpenter as best singer. George had basically the same band his whole solo career.

Beautiful comment! I'm just listening to JESUS TO A CHILD! 🕯😇🎶🎶🎶💖
Welcome back 🎉
I am usually crying
I love George Michael and his cover of this song, but this song will always belong to Bonnie Raitt in my mind.
Bonnie Raitt!
Bruce Hornsby wrote the song 🎵….
Actually it was written by James Allen Shamblin and Michael Barry Reid.
