In George’s biography, he says before he did any cover he would call the artist whose song it was. Bonnie Raitt said she would be honored for George to do her cover. He said he never got refused from any artist. People loved him. Vote for him into the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame. Very much deserved. Right now he is leading all nominees. I vote every day

George was was a far more significant artist than Elton John. Musically as a composer he had insight and sensitivity that John rarely reached. Yet he was never knighted. Let’s remember George Michael wrote not just melody but lyrics. That alone takes him above Elton John. His voice: come on, his voice in range in timbre in its convoluted leaps from sheer power to whispering subtly. George Michael reached superstardom but somehow to this day is not recognised as the stellar figure above and beyond who we think are the GOATS.
If I remember right, from 1 of his many interviews, he would not have wanted to be "Sir" George Michael ! That's not what he was after !
Hands down one of the best singers of all times. A true raw talent, so sad he left us so early 😢

This always makes me cry ... this song is so relatable to all of us , I guess.
I always loved George and his glorious voice. But it took well into adulthood for me to realize how extraordinarily talented he was. The reason is how truly effortless he makes it look & sound. No strain, no pain, no histrionics, just a purity of sound and spirit that seemed to emanate freely from his body. A one of a kind artist who will always be missed 🙏🏻

George’s mother was in the audience for this MTV unplugged performance.This was the last time she saw him perform. She passed away a few months later 2 of the best covers I saw 1:00 George do were Tracy Chapman’s “baby can I Hold you tonight” n Amy Whinehouse’s “love is a losing game”. Best I’ve seen. 1:49

I don’t think there are any words left to describe the amazing out of this world talent that George was. What he would make you feel with his voice is indescribable. He hand picked his back up singers when he first started his career. His musicians, some of them have been with him since his Wham days. This man really had some devoted multitalented voices that worked with him. Some live footage in the studio for his last album called Patience is outstanding. You can see how he coaches is back up singers and what he wants from them to get that perfect sound. You have to check it out. ❤

I’ve been a long life fan since his Wham! days. If you really want to hear his voice sore like even I had never heard it before, check out his performance of Brother Can You Spare A aDime. From the concert, Pavarotti and Friends in the year 2000. His live vocals were known to be even better than the recordings. You will definitely be amazed at the live vocals in this concert. It’s going to blow you away.

Hi, Pat long time no see. You've just witnessed a real live angel! 🥲 As you said, George was & still is genuinely phenomenal. I'm not sure that you said that you've learned much more about George, does this mean what kind of man he is. We are all unique & have a special reason for being here but, George is something all together! Please try to learn what he was really all about. It's mind-blowing. Most of us just found out about his type of philanthropy after his passing. I dearly loved him before, but by really digging deeper, & listing to his music (continuing) & really noticing just how he has affected my feeling down deep, He's was & still is an angel. He continues to live in our hearts, just like when he graced us with his being here on earth. I so hope in any way It can, that people are unaware of his magic (If you will) I think we all need the love he has given us through his music & selfless deeds. For myself, as crazy as this sounds, George has given me hope & love & understanding in my life just when I needed It most (from someone) Just how special am I? I know I sound a bit nuts or maybe a lot, however, this is how I truly feel, again when I need his love most. I do know I'm not alone when I say, right from George's mouth, YOU HAVE BEEN LOVED!
