My car won’t start at all I just had the starter replaced 2 years ago and alternator replaced 2 weeks ago and battery still has good voltage my relays making this noise but it won’t start at all it cranks but nothing . Do u think it’s my ignition switch as well?

@ I figured out the problem, so check at the ground connections are grounded there’s two of them. Make sure they aren’t corroded either. Then make sure the connections to the battery aren’t corroded and connect right .
My mechanic is the worst too, I feel like they just think we don't know anything about cars. I showed him a video of my car trying to start and the first thing he asked me was why I held my key at start so long each time. He forgot its a push button start, so blame your dumb car for that, I just press a button and wait till it starts.
Does this happen with Japanese made Hondas, premature failure of ignition switch?'. My 2007 honda civic is made in the US..lots wrong , did they source a lot of US parts that were defective?.
My Honda Civic 2007, no start flashing green key on dashboard, it was programm but saying immobilizer abnormal, we change it yet it didnt start. i need help pls.
No need to replace the lock cylinder. The actual switch is a separate unit that is attached to the back side of the key cylinder with two Philips head screws. It can be removed and replaced in situ, but you may need to use one of those 90° angle type screwdrivers because there isn't much clearance once you get the column cover off.
I had same problem relay doing the same thing. I replaced the back part of the ignition switch. The relay doesn't do that clinking not but still intermittent starter
@@zacatecano1986 The same one that you did in this video. I ended up taking it to the shop. He says that the negative connection to the battery is corroded - not at the point of connection, but further in, where it is not obvious to the layman - or at least to this one. Because of all the shortages of parts at the moment, it's been a bit of a wait, but at least it won't be expensive. Still, it would have felt good if your fix had worked for me. It's a great video - very easy to follow. Thanks!
I’m literally having this problem right now at 5am. My car starts and stays on runs forever but lately every so often will not crank and it’s doin the same thing that’s doing right there

Is there a green key light flashing or is it solid when cranking?
I had same problem 2 days ago, changed the ignition switch and problem solved 100%, it cost 35 bucks (amazon) 👍🏼

So I replaced my battery and starter and it still won’t crank or do anything for that matter is the ignition switch the cause

You do not have to remove anything but a 3 bolt clip to do the starter it takes about 22 min. To complete.
Access is the issue of these cars. Starter is behind the firewall. I assure you, it’s not a 22 minute job.

Sigh. I was so sure this was going to fix my problem, since my car was doing the exact same thing. Alas, my car still will not start.

I've done relay and starter and cleaned grounds. I guess ignition switch is the next thing to try.

@@HanifFree. i did! I ended up buying a new starter from autozone. Was a bitch putting it in, but never had a problem afterwards. Cranks right up

Wow. I've had mine 14 years and this is the first problem I've had. And I do not take particularly good care of it. It's made me a fan.
