This movie is so incredibly delightful. A loving world where there is only the bliss of love. This world is destroyed by human beings from another time and space/dimension in disregard of love. Two operative agents who are in love become the heroes of the beings whose world was destroyed. Amazing graphics and choreographic genius created a magnificent comical love story.

A truly magnificent epic of a movie, such a pity it didn't earn back the money spent on it because this is Luc Besson at his best. It is a wonderful movie with a strong cast of actors, the brilliance of the story combined with the over the top special effects is a marvel to behold. Thank goodness these movies are made despite the loss of profit. I enjoyed every minute of it, but I especially liked the beginning where the humans meet other humans in space and then it moves on to extra terrestrials, it's just so beautifully done. I am so happy this movie was made its a tribute to Luc's good writing, imagination and fantastic direction.

You never know one day extra terrestrials may make it to our world. Let's hope if they do, they are kind, well-intentioned people. Maybe we might discover faster than light travel, but it's not very likely, but as a human race, we do try. There are plenty of people who do their best to expand human knowledge. I just noticed a bit of a... glitch? When Haban (the emperor) goes up to the boats of pearls, the Pearl woman on his left has an outfit that covers her shoulders and upper arms. (1:57). A few seconds later, when the emperor's wife gives him the pearl and leaves, the camera pans to him again, and the pearl woman's clothes only cover parts of her shoulder. (2:44) But then it shows her again seconds later (2:51) and her clothes changed back to covering her upper arms...for two seconds, apparently, because at (2:53) her arms are bare again! 🤣 The pearl woman he sent off to meet his daughter, started off with bare arms as well (1:54) but when she's shown on the beach approaching the princess (3:01), her clothes cover her shoulders and arms. Almost like the two characters changed places within the scenes. I don't know why, but it made me laugh.
It would be cool to make a movie about this society without war or crazy drama. Same with Avatar. A movie about Pandora with the Navi just living their lives. But of course these wouldn't sell because we're so hooked on war and violence for our entertainment.

I had a dream about a place like this before seeing the movie. A little different their skin didn’t have sparkle and they seemed to swim a lot too, but there were pearls. No little creatures like that. And the whole world glowed like it does here
Every time I see scenes with the Pearls online, I gotta watch them. These beautiful humanoid beings are so visually impressive & I greatly enjoy how in tune with each other their society seemed to be. I really wish we could get a film about just them & how they were able to escape & survive away from their lost home even though I know a lot of people will (& do) compare them to the Na’Vi from “Avatar”. I feel like these people are different enough that they could stand on their own, especially since humans actually destroyed their whole planet, whereas in the Avatar films, human just come & mine for everything they want/need. The story of the Pearls feels familiar & heartbreaking & I would like to know more about them, their culture & their animals. Viva la Pearls 🤍
I still think about this planet on a daily basis. I need a full movie of this imagery and the Pearls living their lives. I need this aesthetic to encompass my life. Is there a pearlescent aesthetic? If not, there should be.
Honestly these beings remind me alot of The Space Jockeys or "Mala'kek race" from James Cameron's Prometheus movie..Image how interesting it would be to combine the two alien race concepts together & make a movie or a book about it. it's even more interesting to me because these Humanoid Aliens seem realistic (even though we don't know what is realistic & what's not lol)...this is very cool to say the least!
