I think he means he had Wade ahead of Kobe as a player when both of them were playing, but ultimately Kobe had the better career.
Kobe was doubted early on his career with people saying he was just carried by Shaq. It also didn't help when Shaq joined the Heat with Wade being the #1 guy there and Shaq being the #2, winning a championship. At that time folks were really placing Wade over Kobe. But as we all know, Prime Kobe happened, winning that 2peat as the #1 guy on the team, solidifying his career as way ahead of his contemporaries.
