I always do 4 things 👇👇👇: 1) Color scheme 2) Up to 5 facts per image (usually 2) then have multiple carousel posts 3) Good written 1st sentence of description which is visible in the begining 4) Last post must have Call to action (sve post, like and/or comment)
I really like how you explain the importance of connecting with others, that helped me to get some new followers, but also to get new friends and that’s more important than followers i don’t know and they don’t know me. Thank you so much for your content and keep on😍
Thanks for the honesty and advise. I started messaging people who decided to follow me, thank them, check their posts and engage in conversations. Like this I met people from all around the world and it is much more satisfying than the pure follow for follow!!
Thanks for your video. I'm a new subscriber here. You are probably right about everything you said in this video. I consider myself a mere snapshotter (regardless of what others think), and I mainly post on Instagram nowadays. Naturally, there is no artist statement; a snapshotter who is keen on casual mobile photography doesn't need one. I've got a few hundred followers for my 3 accounts in total. I've noticed a few things, though. 1) I sometimes get weird communication from travellers and influencers with thousands of followers who invite me to follow them but never care to like any posts of mine. This is totally strange and inappropriate. I no longer bother to check their content. When I find someone of interest to me, I always look at their first photos and their last ones, at the very least. 2) I 'm from a small European country and some people follow me because we're from the same country, where the number of decent photographers is limited, but I've also seen Turkish photographers trying to stick together, too. This 'guy from the same block' sentiment seems to work. 3) Grid clarity may be a very good thing but sometimes it leads to using the same formula over and over again. People have learned that pictures with strong lines and high contrast look good on Instagram, as opposed to large prints with lots of detail, and they keep squeezing photos out from the same spot in the street, using the same scheme or theme (a cliche) over and over again. Their output becomes very predictable at that point. 4) Some people who follow one of my acounts say they won't follow my main account because my face or real name is not shown there, LOL, and also probably because I very rarely take selfies or repost pictures with me in the frame. I prefer obscurity, to the point that I very rarely mention the exaxt location where the photo has been taken. People sometimes have problems with their attitude, where there should be none. So the photographer is not the only one to blame when the numbers are not high enough (if that's important at all).
Dude, keep doing this, there are so few honest people talking about social media, most people are full of Sh*t. But your stuff is honest , authentic and feels just natural than all the guys trying to get lambos, Y'know what I mean! Awesome content Jonny!
These are some of the best tips! You make it so easy to follow and understand the importance of each action and it’s desired result. I’ll watch all of your videos over and over. Greatly appreciate the resource!
Great advice.. Thank you for bringing awesome content... Currently I don’t have many followers but I need to focus to bring value and great content to benefit others 👍🏻🤙🏼
Hi Jonny. I love all of your helpful advice here and on so many of your videos I've just discovered. Love your accent too - very reassuring! I'm going to start implementing your tips as I have been stagnant on Instagram for months and have been wondering why. I was thinking it was just bots but now realise it's actually me that's all over the place! Love how you're also a musician yet so focussed on your photography (pun totally intended!). Thanks so much for your help.
Just found your channel, awesome stuff man! You seem to do a lot (Instagram/TH-cam/Photography/Music) - which do you find brings you the most fulfilment?
Brand new follower and subscriber. I was just trying to decide what I most appreciated about your videos and had landed on your clear articulation when I got to the point in your video when you said that is exactly what you have found most people like about your videos (vs specific content). So needless to say, I am even more impressed than I was at the beginning. You have given me some hope that it is worth kicking back into gear on Instagram. I may already have ENOUGH followers.
Really helpful insights, thanks a lot for sharing your social medial knowledge! I would add an additional point too...I always unfollow people who post 2/3 times a day every day. I really don’t want to have the same accounts popping up in my feed all the time, even if the content is valuable.
I implemented some of your changes (consistency in my feed, showing more personality in captions). I noticed an improvement right away. As a photographer of the boring and mundane, it is a tough niche to stand out in. Cheers!
@@Invisibletoday I place more emphasis on attracting people as followers that actually want to improve themselves. I don’t need the spotlight, but I’m not afraid of it either. I know who I am and all I want is for those who follow me to call upon me to serve them. The number of followers will increase, but only when I stay true to my passion and share it.
Hi, hope your well.thanks so much for the tip. 😎I am a composer ,musician and a photographer. Just wondering in the content if we can have our own compositions to interpret our photographs? I am quite busy don’t have time to have more than one page 😎
I don't really care if most choose to not follow me or unfollow me because i'm not here to please other i love and rather stay true to myself being myself doing what makes me happy doing social media and youtube just for fun i don't wanna be someone that i'm not and i don't want to be popular at all either i don't like and don't care about popularity i don't want to grow
I delete posts if I don't like the way the make my grid, but as long as they fit in context I'm happy to leave older images. In fact I think it's helpful for beginners for all the reasons I stated in this video.
I like your simple no waffle I had 3500 followers in Feb 2021 nothing but continuous spam so I deleted and made a new account with very few followers I had about 200 quality followers in tge art world the only regret I have is not telling them where I was going.....followers don't equate to sales....Good health...
Hi. Thanks for sharing. The reasons might be different. -Your Hashtags aren't working -Instagram algorithm change -Wrong timing / Monday, Tuesday, and Friday at 11 am and Tuesday at 2 pm are now the best time to post on Instagram. Even weekends are good times to post on Instagram to get good engagement now, though they never used to compete. The worst time to post on Instagram is after 6 pm when individuals have finished work for the day. Low-quality content Instagram can often reduce the quality of your images during uploads for a wide number of reasons, but if you're looking to maintain quality then you should look to upload a high-quality, compressed JPEG file (max resolution: 1080 x 1350px) directly from your mobile. You can upload your pictures from your computer using Deskgram, edit your photos with Canva, or go live from your PC or Mac using yellowduck .tv.
@@philmaturanodrums Impossible to accurately explain, but highly unlikely that it's solely paid. I think more importantly, explain why someone would pay to gain 6000 followers with only 3 photos on their account? Where's the ROI?
@@ItsJonnyKeeley Because women lives are totally different then ours. The shallowness of social media is on full display in this cases. Social media is about $$$ want followers? Pay. Its not the way it used to be.
To be honest if you don't have everything in place to gain organic followers your promotions won't yield any results either.
