Why no mention of Alabama A&M? It was founded in 1875 and located in Huntsville. Ironically, it is much less of a science and engineering school than its neighbor, the U. of Alabama Huntsville (UAH), which is part of the UA system.
The University of Alabama has it's own set of important majors so to be VERY honest the two of them make for a good team in the State of Alabama. Lawyers, Doctors, Journalists and Geologists from UA, Engineers, Astronauts, Pilots, Foresters and Farmers from AU. The people of the state need to embrace the opportunities both schools offer and keep the Iron Bowl to one day a year. Not going to happen! LOL WDE!
