If it's any consolation, I play Vayne bot. I'm fully consenting into having my back blown out by Varuses and Ashes and Hweis and Xeraths and Jannas in the early game
Vayne isn’t a cancer champ when it’s bot imo. She has short range, single target, and weaker early. But she’s playing against another marksman and they have a support who can potentially catch her.
Top lane it’s just zero interaction unless you answer with ranged. Teemo is a huge counter to her top for that reason

There are different way to play against vayne. You take ghost and she ghost aswell you always lose you are not darius or nasus. You take second wind you don't have biscuit for mana to stay in lane as much as possible. It depend on how you wanna play and what elo you are
